Review summary

Disappointing! For a holiday cruise, it lacked a holiday feel.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very smooth Embarkation, the smoothest of all of my cruises.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was often cold. The desserts were the worse. No flavor! To go to the dining room and have them go to the buffet for you, what is the point. I thought the food would be hotter in you went to the dining room for breakfast.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
You had to stay in-tune with the ship in order to be able to participate. We tried the ice-skating and the rock climbing. the lines for the "free time" was so long we did not get to enjoy the activities. There was so much limited time for those time frames.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The magician was ok, witnessed the performances in the evening with the dancers, but otherwise did not attend much else.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
My children enjoyed their freedom, but the kids on the ship seemed way too loose.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The waiters, TABLE 255 3rd deck WERE THE BEST! They catered to our every need and always were prepared for us on the next day. My room attendance was awesome as well.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
OLD! I felt like I was in the 70's. If that was the nostalgia you were going for, you achieved it.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Nice cabin, and it was very clean

Ship tip

Caution your age and expectations, this is an older ship for older clientele

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico Did not visit port

Flew in and flew out!

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Basseterre, St. Kitts

St. John's, Antigua

Castries, St. Lucia

3 out of 5
Shopping right off the boat, but taking the mini-ship to the island, there was not much to see.

Bridgetown, Barbados

5 out of 5
THE BEST!! It was beautiful, everyone was kind and the beach was awesome. Jet skied and did the bottomless boat, which was a joke. You really could not see through the bottom, so it was a waste of money.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
It was quick getting off the obat, however the outside transportation issue was a serious problem. Perhaps finding a better line-up system for transportation would b more appropriate.

I don't think cruising is for you.

Honestly it sounds like you wanted a nonstop party. If you wanted that you probably should’ve went on Carnaval with all the young drunks. We loved the freedom when we went on it and didn’t find it a 70s feel at all. You complained about the shows but then said you didn’t go to the shows so I was a bit confused on that one, and most of your islands you didn’t seem to like even though you rated Barbadoes 5 stars, you didn’t like the excursion so I guess just you can’t please everyone

1970's? It was launched in 2006. It was drydocked in 2015 where it was updated. About to be updated again in March. Really not sure what you expected.
