Review summary

This was my favorite cruise I've ever been on. The ship was perfect for us and I'm really wanting to get back on freedom of the seas. The staff and service was always exceptional. The ports of call were all amazing and I'm actually planning my wedding on a RCCL to these same ports because I loved them that much (especially Bonaire and Aruba). I would 10/10 recommend this itinerary and ship to anyone!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I'm vegan, and there was a special menu for me to order from. Food was DELICIOUS every night in the main dining room, and the winjammer was always hot and the food there unexpectedly good. Went on the msc seaside a month before going on freedom and the food quality was night and day between these two.

Service and Staff

As always with rccl, everyone we encountered was polite and helpful. No complaints about staff at all, they were amazing, always going above and beyond!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship layout was great! The royal promenade created a really nice, connected inside space and made getting around the ship easy. The pool deck and the solarium were gorgeous too. Loved the whirlpools hanging off the side of the ships, how beautiful the mdr was, and the ship was big enough but never felt too big and rarely felt crowded.

Cabin / Stateroom

We had an interior cabin on the seventh floor, perfectly quiet, tons of storage between the closets, drawers and shelves. Room was cleaned frequently and the stateroom attendant was always polite

Ports of call

Kralendijk, Bonaire

5 out of 5
We took a water taxi to Klein Bonaire and spent the entire day snorkeling. This was by far the best snorkeling of my life, and is reportedly some of the best in the world. You could snorkel here for days and never get bored. Probably my favorite ever port of call, can't wait to go back!

Oranjestad, Aruba

Rented a car and drove all over the island, snorkeled at baby beach, explored arikok park and the desert side of the island, and finished up the day visiting beaches on the west side. Absolutely beautiful with something for everything, looking forward to visiting Aruba again!

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Always love staying in PR before a cruise!

Willemstad, Curacao

Curacao is beautiful. Wish we had booked an excursion but nothing really seemed too fun. If I go back in definitely going to book an excursion, as I'm not really one to just walk around and shop.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Second time in St Maarten. Rented 4 wheelers, drove the whole island, snorkeled from orient beach to a small island off the beach that had a reef. Love St Maarten and would always come back. I have always felt safe and am amazed by how beautiful the island is.
