Review summary

Some great snorkeling, fun on the flow rider, and great waiters made this a cruise, ship, and cruise line I'll return to.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
While I like the other port better, the Panamerican port was a short walk from a Hertz rental drop-off at the Million Air airport. The embarkation was slick, no problems.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining food was great and we had some of the best waiters we've ever had.

Main Dining Rooms (Galileo, Isaac & Leonardo)

5 out of 5

Thanks For was great. The kindest and most attentive wait staff I've ever had. Best of luck to them in their futures.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Really enjoyed the flow rider.

Flowrider

On a knee board or on feet, this is a blast. The staff had first-timers on their feet quickly, and we're fun to watch when they practiced.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Live intrumentalists for the main theater shows made this cruise for me.

Arcadia Theater

5 out of 5

Live music shows and entertainment were excellent. I'm a pro musician.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
Must be good because we never saw kids wandering with nothing to do or causing trouble.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Best waiters ever.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Pretty and easy to get from 9th deck stateroom to 5th deck main mall and upper deck food and activities.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Clean and functional. Missing screw made bathroom door not fully close, so I took it out.

Ship tip

There is a piano that guests can play on deck 14 in the Cloud 9 game room.

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico

4 out of 5
Still some visible hurricane damage that may never recover, but most things are back to normal.

Willemstad, Curacao

5 out of 5
Blue Bay beach was clean, cheap, and great snorkeling. Shopping closed by 5PM.

Oranjestad, Aruba

4 out of 5
Beaches up north have best and most accessible snorkeling.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

3 out of 5
Not a favorite port. Town right outside the port is dirty. Visits to churches and historic sites were fun. Anglican Church let me play their organ. Great old organ in good condition and tuned.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
Cooking Beach was a snorkeling highlight.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
They could improve this by not corralling the guests into small areas. I know they do it for logistics, but it would be nice to walk the decks while waiting for your number to be called.
