Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We had 13 people in our group, which definitely put a strain on the waiter and assistant, but they shined! I'm so impressed with how well they handled a group of our size.

Main Dining Rooms (Galileo, Isaac & Leonardo)

5 out of 5

We had a very large group, 13 in total, and Victoria and Eduardo were amazing. They got our food promptly as possible. When they found out the my little guy didn't like kiwi, they substituted watermelon on his fruit plate. Eduardo found out what kind of rolls our group preferred, and made sure we had plenty of that kind.

Entertainment

Never made it to the entertainment, but other members of our group said it was amazing.

Children's Programs

My little guy cried when he realized he couldn't go back to Adventure Ocean (he's 4). The staff were wonderful, and made it so he had as much fun (or more) than we did. He loved trick-or-treating on the ship, especially when he got to sword-fight with a pirate for his candy.

Adventure Ocean

The staff did a fantastic job with my VERY active boy. He even cried when he realized that we were flying home and he couldn't go back. Only suggestion would be some training on how to deal with children who don't respond normally when called. My little guy loves to pretend he doesn't hear, so needs a tap on the shoulder or something when otherwise engaged. Other than that, they were all wonderful!

Service and Staff

Everyone was wonderful. Stewards all along the hall to our room (not even assigned to us) would high five my little guy as he went by. One even gave him a piggy back ride to the elevator. Can't praise them enough.

Ship Quality

Because our cabin was so awesome, we didn't venture out much, but when we did we really liked everything.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
If you get a chance, and a big enough group, book this cabin. Not only is the 4-bedroom suite comfortable and large, but the balcony is amazing. I would spend the entire cruise there if I could (and one of my nephews slept out on the balcony a few nights). We had our own hot tub, which was wonderful, although I wish there had been a way to heat the water other than draining and refilling it. The steward was great, making sure every request was met.

Ship tip

If you get a chance, take a tour of the ship. We went on a galley tour, and it's fascinating to learn about everything that goes into making the ship run.

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Make sure you are well rested when visiting the fort and Old Town. It's quite a bit of walking, but definitely worth it.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

We rented a couple jeeps and drove around the island. It's amazing to see the differences from both sides. We made sure to eat lunch at a small hole-in-the-wall place, and the food was good.

The concierge did a great job of making sure my in-laws, who needed assistance, not only made it off the ship comfortably, but also assisted with getting their luggage and then getting them through customs.
