Review summary

The best thing I liked on my trip was the staff. The staff is from different countries and the benefit is that they speak several languages.

Disembarkation

Disembarking was complicated. A multitude of people, without dividing lines to organize the rows, few porters; disorganized. The Royal Caribbean Express line did not exist according to the Customs staff. I recommend having patience, and carry a baggage that is easy to handle.

I have traveled on several cruises of Royal Caribbean and departure for gold, platinum, etc. It is a unique row in particular. It seems that then it was not available.

Compared to ports like Canaveral, Everglades ( Ft Lauderdale ), and Miami, San Juan is less organized but not a fault of any cruise line. For these ports, we pay a porter $5 to $10 for a smooth, not instantaneous, trip through customs. Paying less than a drink on the ship to make debarkation a lot easier is a win-win. At San Juan, you still have to be on your toes to find your airport transportation.

I learned not to be in a hurry to get off the ship..have breakfast..you'll get back to reality soon enough😊

Debarkation lines have nothing to do with the cruise line, that’s CBP. Ring gold on Royal Caribbean means you have cruised very few times so the benefits and privileges aren’t great.
