Review summary

Ben on other cruise lines but tried Royal carribbean - never again - Freedom of Seas not the wow factor ! - lack of Entertainment , very boring ship , Luke warm - cold food ! And same foods over and over again -and they nickel and dime you to death !

Plan on lukewarm to cold food , lack of Entertainment and being nickel and dimed for everything you do !

Pay for...popcorn at the theatre, ice cream at Ben and Jerry's because the free machine was almost always out of order. Johnny Rockets...Carnival has Guys Burgers included. In fact Carnival has tons of included food venues including barbecue, Wok, Tandoor, and an awesome Deli, Seaside brunch, Blue Iguana Cantina... no self-serve laundry on Royal it's around $35 for one bag of laundry. Case of water over 30 bucks on RCCL on Carnival it is $5. Movie in your room $12 on Royal. Those are just a few of the things I can think of off the top of my head. Plus they asked me about 5 times to upgrade to the paid dining venues.

I loved the shows. Although 2 of them were not my taste. They have great singers and dancers. The ice show was really good. I understand about the main dining room menu. They only change the first few items each day. The rest of the menu remains the same all week. I liked the food though.

Sailed Freedom in June and loved it, it’s become one of my favorites. I can understand your review though as it’s a big ship and can be intimidating. RC offers so many activities on board that it can be overwhelming if you’re not used to it.
