Review summary

Great cruise and would certainly go on this ship again but some things do need to be addressed. Will never book speciality restaurants again, it has just be one a money making exercise with inferior quality to what occurred in the past. I have had better steak in local fast food venues.

Embarkation

2 out of 5
Check in very quick but then had long wait (30 mins) and total chaos just to get upstairs to waiting room, where there were no sears available..

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I gave this 5 stars for the main dining room which was excellent in both food and service. Regrettably the same cannot be said for the speciality restaurants they are a disgrace the food and service are despicable especially Giovanis. I did pre book for 4 speciality visits but only used 2 of them due to the dreadful food and service in Giovanis and mediocre in Chops.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Ongoing issue with sun beds in the Solarium covered in towels from first thing in the morning with no guests in sight.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
For a smaller ship the entertainment was great, good mix and wonderful Cruise Director in Drew.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Rarely saw our room steward and the servers in the pool bars were more interested in your females than serving older guests. Service from the staff in Vintages and the R Bar was outstanding and worthy of 5 stars.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
As usual I had to contact the deck housekeeping supervisor to have covers placed over the matress to avoid the gap between the twin mattresses.

Ship tip

This is a great ship and does not seem to attract the large family groups the larger ships do.. Don't waste your money on the speciality resaurNts or Chefs Table.

Disembarkation

Getting off the ship was a nightmare after which it went down hill in the terminal. The staff organizing the lines lost all send of what was going on and which line was next and actually said she had no idea what she was doing!!!
