Review summary

We couldn't be more happy with our experience.  Everything was outstanding from the ship itself - we found everything clean, and in good working order.  To our staterooms as all were comfortable and exactly what we were told we would get.  Not to mention on the stuff to do on board!  Several live entertainment options, games, sports activities and so on...we're going to have to go on another cruise to cover it all!

What really matters is the people that are providing the service and absolutely everyone was as nice and accommodating as they could be.  Everyone exceeded our expectations.  Once we had our wait staff, captain of our section and the chef trained in the main dining room on one of our daughter's nut and diary allergies - all of the staff went above and beyond every single day to ensure she had not just something to eat, but something to present to her that put a smile on her face as the rest of us were impressed with our food choices/presentations as well.  That REALLY makes a parent feel so much better - for their special dietary needs child to have the same experience as the other children!  :-)  THANK YOU!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The buffett in Windjammer was massive and something for everyone. The main dinning room however was my favorite! We really enjoyed and looked forward to dinner EVERY night!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We're gonna be booking another trip on this same ship - we were on the boat for 7 days and weren't able to do everything! Wow!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The band in the club just past the cigar bar - they were Awesome! A little quirky, but they pulled it off with their vast musical knowledge and ability to play EVERY song requested! They are Awesome! (Filipino) Kat in the Bull & Bear was outstanding and a wonderful entertainer!

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Our youngest daughter woke up every day wanting to the to the Kids Club - she loved it (so did Mom & Dad!)

Service and Staff

Chester - captain for our dinning section in the main dining room - a very good people person - you can't train that! He was very helpful with our special dietary needs daughter. Franco Lemos - very efficient and always quick witted. We enjoyed Franco's humor and he always went above and beyond to see that we were all taken care of at our large table. At first he didn't exude confidence in us with our special dietary needs daughter, but once we reached a comfort level it was smooth sailing and he when above and beyond every evening for us! Princess Nadine Sutherland - Assistand Server - "My Princess" she ran very hard to keep up with the demands of our 12-18 person table and did it with great smile and good spirit. Dindin Syamsudin - stateroom attendant - I don't know how this man does it, but he always was smiling day and night. He did such a great job for my very large family in two rooms - mostly girls...lots of mess and stuff everywhere. Every day in the morning(ish) he made beds and put up the pull out sofa for us, and in the afternoon pulled the sofa back out again and left towel origami that the kids were just so excited over - he deserves a gold star doing all this in such cramped quarters! These are just a few - I know that there are A Lot more people behind the scenes making it all happen. They all apparently were doing a great job because we didn't experience any breakdown in service. Thank you Royal Caribbean for a GREAT family vacation - we're telling all of our friends!!!

Cabin / Stateroom

I have a large family and we also had an outside stateroom that we reserved directly across the hall - it worked out so awesome! Thank you for this very important aspect as traveling with 6 people ain't the easiest...this certainly made it much more enjoyable!

Ship tip

You will not go hungry on this boat! They have food all day long available in various outlet, and if you want special little treats you could go to Starbucks, the Cupcake shop and others. Loved the shopping that is available on ship, too - we always had something to do!

We did the turtle farm and dolphin swim - absolutely fantastic! Don't just do the turtle aspect or you'll be disappointed, but combined with the dolphin swim - a Great afternoon off the boat!!!

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

We did the Around the Keys kayak and snorkel adventure. Awesome - Very nice beach location they took us to, although the drive was a bit too much - it's just the nature of the destination. However, it was cool to see the "city and country side".

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

We did our own Mayan tour with a lunch and it was an AWESOME experience!!!

Cozumel, Mexico

This was the last stop on our Western Caribbean cruise - my suggestion - shop, shop, shop here!

Traveler Photos

Lighthouse at Costa Maya as we departed...view from our balcony stateroom. Dinner in the main dining room was greatly anticipated every day!!!
