Review summary

It was very nice, I just wasn't happy with having to pay for sodas. The food wasn't very good. The kitchen closed too early. The ship was very nice and the workers was very helpful and very kind.

We were on freedom a few weeks ago. It depends on the port. Some of the workers were letting people take water/soda on. And others were taking it away. If you call royal they will tell you it's not allowed to carry on.

All the people who are complaining about the food and having to pay for sodas should go camping instead of cruising. They'll be a lot happier

You must be putting the soda in your suit case cause a friend of mine was on freedom a few weeks ago and they confiscated his soda and he was only carrying a 12 pack of cans in his carry on.

I read on the Royal Caribbean site that they also provide bottled water if it's pre purchased before boarding

We are still deciding if getting drink package. I do not feel I can drink the daily price I am paying for. Have heard both sides of the coin to get or not get drink package.

I guess they have changed the policy now but you're allowed to bring on a maximum of 12 sealed unopened can / carton of 12 ounce per person of soda. 2.99 for 12 pack of pre-cruise purchase for water. 4.99 on cruise. Order from www.carnival.com/fun shops to place your order before the cruise. ....from important information things to know before you Cruise

Each person carried a pack of Pepsi's (24) on the ship. They get heavy, so this time I will carry them on a travel size folding cart with wheels that I have. We pre-ordered spring water since my husband is the only one that's addicted to Pepsi.

I didn't know royal aloud to bring sodas, I know carnival does, the Web site says we can't, just 2 bottle of wine per cabin 😕

Room service is 24 hours and I would advise you to get a drinks package if you're going to order sodas.

As much as they push their drink packages that shouldn't have been a surprise. If you mean they close the buffet too early I agree but there's always pizza (which sucks on that ship)

My husband brings a case of coke and we have a couple packages of spring water delivered to the room for my son and I.
