Review summary

If I had know their was a large group of 1,150 I would have postponed my cruise. I was a bit upset when speaking with another couple and learned that they had a Suite and paid way less that we did for a Jr. Suite.

Died...Does, sorry

RC doesn't do what Carnival died, if the price drops...it doesn't matter...I'm ok w that because I book early to get the exact room I want

We already did this on our last cruise with the Next Cruise Desk manager

Dinosaur..this is why were signed the release to drop our T/A refused to give us discounts when they were available. Booking with Royal Caribbean's agents from now on

dinosaur702    8 years ago

Prices dropped 30% and agent refused to get better rate so not all agents want to score points with clients.

On any line, the larger the group...bigger the discount!

Do you feel that same way when you take a flight? Worry if the person sitting next to you tells you they paid less for their seats? These are ever changing prices. No worries, just enjoy yourself!

How rude of you to ask OR care what someone else paid for their stateroom. Get the best deal you can get and keep tabs on it until sailing. If the price goes down and you contact your agent they will compensate you. Weird.....enjoy your cruise and dont worry about others great deals.

1100..must have been my cruise...that group was not anywhere in the way..in fact the shows were easier to find seats because that group had their own agenda. I spoke with a few of them ..eccentric but intelligent. Great Cruise..pool seats were available all the time too by the way..

I already have enough voices in my head, I don't need any more.

If they booked as a large group their booking agent would have received a significantly higher commission than normal. A good agent would pass that savings to their clients, which could explain the lower cost. The agent also could have reserved a large block of rooms with RCCL at a discounted rate.

Royal Caribbean prices go up and down you have to book when you get the best deal Carnival guarantees best price so if prices drop you pay less or OBC it's just a gamble we always take I love cruising either cruise line

teddygoogs    8 years ago

Well imagine 1100 people in their heads....oh the horror

lindackelley    8 years ago

I would have thought the complaining would have been about the group using up all the room somewhere or something like that.

banaford    8 years ago

Yes! I just always say they win or own you if you think about what once perceives as wrongdoing. Thnx!

teddygoogs    8 years ago

Yup. I see it all the time."oh look what he is doing way over there. Now im gonna think about it all freaking day and allow it to tuin a great time" i dont get it

banaford    8 years ago

I like that saying teddygoogs.."rent space..." can I steal that?

teddygoogs    8 years ago

So in other words you let other people rent space in your head and ruin your cruise? I will bet people on the cruise i am going on paid less for a balcony than i did for ocean view. So i should let that make me not enjoy the food, entertainment, excursion and relaxation?
