Review summary

This was not what we expected from the Royal Caribbean cruise line.  First, the High Seas Rally was taking place when we went.  Essentially, these are Harley Davidson motorcycle club members who raise money for charity, which I endorse; however, this was not a good time to sail when they were.  Some of them were heavy partying drinkers.  Many people on the cruise were unaware, as my husband and I were, that this is what was meant by "High Seas Rally."  Most of them were loud and not exactly dressed in what I think of as decent clothing.  We did meet some couples who were the type of people (who we were told by co-workers) who frequented this cruise line.  The food was OK but not great.  Potatoes and rice were served at every meal, even in the dining room!  Our room's bathroom was much smaller than what we experienced on Carnival (on the other cruises we've previously done).  The service in the dining room was exceptional and the servers made our trip much better! The room steward was great but there were no laundry facilities or even anywhere to iron our clothes (we had to pay for it on this cruise) like we had on Carnival. Some of the entertainment was good.  I'm going back to Carnival!

So sorry you didn't enjoy being on board with me and my 1834 biker friends! Just to let you know me and my biker friends do this cruise yearly and we do it for a cause, dialysis! On this cruise (2015) we sponsored 14 kidney dialysis patients and a loved one to come on board with us along with several Dr.s, nurses and all the machines and solutions! We gave 28 people a chance to go on a vacation of a lifetime and possibly the only vacation of their lifetime. And most of our patients are not and have never been bikers and also probably sterotyped as others do including yourself. 99% of the bikers are 1st class citizens that are military veterans or are white color workers when not cladded in leather and riding loud abnoxious 2 wheeled vehicles! No need to worry about us "bikers" No more considering in 2017 we are chartering Brilliance of the seas so that way us bikers and our new found dialysis friends don't disturb your little vacation! And btw...if you or a loved one ever finds yourself tethered to a machine to keep yourself alive and your only wish was to go on a little vacation look us up at www.highseasrally.com, we would love to be able to give you or your loved one a chance of a lifetime!

Well from what we r calling slobs they could have been, there r a lot of people that dress a hell of lot worse.

They as in all? sounds like judging people to me, have seen non bikers dressed worse than they r, so your calling doctors, lawyers, upstanding citizens slobs, hmmm guess u never wore anything that a rip it tear in it, no causal in the windjammer isn't the same but u do have the choice, don't like it don't go. Unlike your train of thought u do have a choice what u want to do.

They don't have a very good image. And casual doesn't mean dressing like a slob. Casual in the Windjammer isn't really the same,as casual in the main dining room.

Not all bikers r the same, don't judge people, u can do what u want, u can go to the wind hammer or other restaurants that r readily available, by judging people u r being bigot, don't judge people until u actually meet them, yes y should dress nicely on formal nights but that's why they have casual nights as well.

You mean like the ones who had the shootout in Texas? They don't seem all that nice. And you don't just do whatever you want. You should dress nicely in the main dining room.

First off bikers r the one of nicest people u can meet, secondly who r u too decide what people should b wearing and if it's appropriate enough, maybe they found what u wee wearing was offensive, u know what......WHO CARES, when u r on a cruise u do what u want, when u want, u wear what u want, when u want, u eat what u want, when u want.

Just a tip but you can google the date of your cruise with the ship name and usually find out if the ship has been chartered.

I agree about the bikers they were on the ship when I went, there were 3,000+ onboard but not once did I see a drunken brawl always polite, but they took over the ship a bit. We complained to RC on our return because we were not told beforehand. They do a great job raising money for Dialysis. The cruise however was good I enjoyed it.
