Review summary

This trip was planned to celebrate my 19th wedding anniversary.  I found out upon arrival to the ship that a massive group of bikers (1835 to be exact) were going to be onboard.  This was one issue because reservations were being bumped, underwear was being hung outside stateroom doors, and it was like Halloween every single night on the ship.  The food was utterly putrid, and made me physically ill each and every night.  I am highly disappointed that did not notify me of this, because I would have rather of chosen a different cruiseship that particular week, even if it meant leaving from another port, but I was not given that option.  I also was told that my $75.00 onboard credit was part of a promotion and after receiving my bill, there was no credit established, and I had to call from the ship and hold for over an hour trying to resolve this issue.  Dissappointed at for being misleading, and at RC for having barely edible food!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Absolutely the most disgusting food I have ever had in my life. My stomach would instantly distend due to a reaction to the food each and every time!

While going back to my cabin, my husband and I heard laughing (like a party going on) from our room. Come to find out that 2 of the workers were fooling around in our room!

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was nice and had a lot of organization for small quarters. The only problem is that shower head wasn't working correctly the entire time, which is my fault for not complaining, and we lost our tv channels for an evening!

Ship tip

The ship was pretty, and the only decent places to eat onboard were the specialty restaurants only! It seemed they were the only places that prepared fresh foods, as they were the only restaurants I did not get sick from, but who wants to be forced to eat elsewhere when you purchase inclusive pckg.

Cruisinggal...so sorry you didn't enjoy being on board with me and my 1834 biker friends! Just to let you know me and my biker friends do this cruise yearly and we do it for a cause, dialysis! On this cruise (2015) we sponsored 14 kidney dialysis patients and a loved one to come on board with us along with several Dr.s, nurses and all the machines and solutions! We gave 28 people a chance to go on a vacation of a lifetime and possibly the only vacation of their lifetime. And most of our patients are not and have never been bikers and also probably sterotyped as others do including yourself. 99% of the bikers are 1st class citizens that are military veterans or are white color workers when not cladded in leather and riding loud abnoxious 2 wheeled vehicles! No need to worry about us "bikers" No more considering in 2017 we are chartering Brilliance of the seas so that way us bikers and our new found dialysis friends don't disturb your little vacation! And btw...if you or a loved one ever finds yourself tethered to a machine to keep yourself alive and your only wish was to go on a little vacation look us up at www.highseasrally.com, we would love to be able to give you or your loved one a chance of a lifetime!

Another dumb review. The high seas cruise happens every year. Just like music cruises, cooking cruises, sports cruises, etc. You should blame your Tavel agent for not informing you and if you booked it yourself shame on you for not researching the week you wanted to go.

Yea, I realized after I first posted that it was not a carnival board...but I couldn't fix my comment, then I got attacked, but all is good.

Carlala where she posed her comment was not on a carnival board. She posed in RC's FOS review board.

I'm SUPER EXCITED to be cruising in less than a week on CARNIVAL MIRACLE!! and I accept your apology Cindy13apn i was just trying to clear the confusion that this was a CARNIVAL board, not RC

I saw a posting a posting a few weeks ago giving passengers a heads up about a cruise. If this is the same one, the bikers used funds raised from ralleys to take two struggling families on a cruise who could not afford a cruise vacation or any vacation otherwise. A trip of a lifetime for these families. It may not be the same trip, but it sounds like it may be.

This was my 6th cruise but my first RC. I thought I was upgrading from Carnival but quite the opposite. The ship itself was bigger and had more options than Carnival but I would rather have quality over quantity. Hope this helps:)

I sailed on Freedom of the Seas in May and it was awesome. Sailed last year on Carnival Liberty and had a great time as well. Food on Freedom of the Seas was really good, and loved the Windjammer too. Carnival Liberty food was also good. In April we are going on Norwegian Star. Hope it is just as nice.

oh, sorry. I thought you eye bashing Carnival...I have sailed Carnival since 1987 and loved every cruise. I know there are snobby people that think it's sub standard. Please accept my apologies..... =)

I wasn't making fun of carnival...I was stating that she experienced that on RC and I'm sailing on Carnival...

Cindy...how does that make any sense?
