Review summary

Real bad experience, I felt like I should have not been on that boat.

Second cruise for me and I expected class on the boat.

We had a boat full of bikers, they took control of the boat that week.

I was not aware and just found out when we arrived.

The cause they are boating for is great so I tried to give them a chance.

Seeing everyday rednecks with their confederate flag t-shirts and even looking at one of them putting the confederate flag on the balcony so everyone could see when they come back from the islands was extremely disturbing. I wish I knew about this group and I would have picked another cruise line or destination.

So sorry you didn't enjoy being on board with me and my 1834 biker friends! Just to let you know me and my biker friends do this cruise yearly and we do it for a cause, dialysis! On this cruise (2015) we sponsored 14 kidney dialysis patients and a loved one to come on board with us along with several Dr.s, nurses and all the machines and solutions! We gave 28 people a chance to go on a vacation of a lifetime and possibly the only vacation of their lifetime. And most of our patients are not and have never been bikers and also probably sterotyped as others do including yourself before joining us and seeing all the money and work that it takes to pull this off. 99% of the bikers are 1st class citizens that are military veterans or are white collared workers when not cladded in leather and riding loud abnoxious 2 wheeled vehicles! And in regards to the flag...you might have seen a few confederate flags flying off the balconies but I am certain that you also saw alot more flags representing our military, all branches of our military! No need to worry about us "bikers" No more considering in 2017 we are doing a whole ship charter on the Brilliance of the seas so that way us bikers and our new found dialysis friends don't disturb your little vacation! And btw...if you or a loved one ever finds yourself tethered to a machine to keep yourself alive and your only wish was to go on a little vacation look us up at www.highseasrally.com, we would love to be able to give you or your loved one a chance of a lifetime!

I would think a biker cruise wouldn't be as bad as a Spring break cruise. I don't care for everything but you make the best. I bet most of these bikers are just ordinary people having fun. As long as I'm not kept up all night they can have their fun. I'm a Yankee from PA but I have a Confederate flag. So what if they fly them off the balconies. Did they hurt you? As far as food, I've never been a big fan of RCI food. A cruise is what you make of it.

gwurmy, Just because I insulted you doesn't make you right! I don't know why you are insulted or that you feel the need to attack me because I experienced a lousy cruise and wish to share it. I have a right to to this just as you have your right to express your feelings. RCL is not going to close shop over me, so don't worry, you can continue to pay your money to them and accept what product they give you in return good or bad. If that works for you, continue. Enjoy your cruises........ take care!

i meant disney world, seriously, you don't even belong on royal,or any ship ,go to disney were it is at least 95 for a child, quit complaining and trying to pursuit other people that have never cruised before, wish we could debate

Last year we booked on the Dream and it was a final Texas Holden tournament cruise. A lot of the open placed were closed and being used as tournament rooms. Us regular people missed out and they took over. We were never told by Carnival and I booked directly with them.

Brian-denise, I agree RCL is in business to make money, what business isn't but, they owed it to notify their customers about this beforehand and not by what I call a cowardly act with a slip of paper telling you about it once you were in your statroom. On any other cruise with no rally, we all arrive as minorities but when there is a majority group of people creating this social enclave on board it makes those other people who are not part of this rally outsiders especially when everything was catered to the people of the rally.

This is a dumb review by someone who doesn't realize RCL is a business and any business will do what is profitable. The high seas cruise happens every year and has made RCL a ton of money.

gwurmy, I hear you! RCL dropped the ball with this cruise. Everyone has a different opinion and we all experience things differently. But as a customer, we all have a right to express our disappointments as well as our accolades. Bottom line, these cruise companies don't really care about you and I or anyone for that fact. It's about the $$$. When the economy went bad the cruise lines cut back and when the economy recovers they still continue to cut back. By not tell others about being disappointed about your vacation only hurts all of us cruisers.

well just like everything in life things aren't perfect,I've been on some bad but ,always said way the hell better then life at home for a week,take my advice don't let one bad experience ruin your opinion on royal,one of the top cruise companys on the water been on30 from princess to disney,and carnival,all I'm saying is I've had better times then others but always had a blast

gwurmy, if the food you consider to be at least above average, then you as a person must like settling for lesser things, which is fine for you. Those who spend hard earned money should not have to settle for lower or just above average food. if that's the case why doesnt the cruise line charge you lower than average fares which table never do cuz they are all about making money. maybe you work in the kitchen?

I am assuming the bikers are from the south and there is nothing at all wrong with that. They do have manners and respect. Are you from the North? Should they discriminate against you for not liking their flag?

I love all people and don't discriminate. I wish there was a common courtesy that was extended to the other passengers. Reservations were being bumped and people who reserved rooms in advance were being bumped because the bikers required that space. we should not have been treated any less equal than anyone else. By the way, since you said to put my head in a dictionary...learn how to spell maggot!

Just what do you think the word putrid means? Decom....what happens when decomposition takes place? Magets. Perhaps, instead of sticking your nose in the air, you should stick it in a dictionary. If you ever cruise again, perhaps you call the the cruise line in advance. Request only the type of people you would get along with. You know the kind, prejudice, arrogant, self absorbed. Good luck

I never said maggots..and if anyone should have chartered a trip it should have been the bikers. Hanging confederate flags and underwear outside your room is certainly not the class of people I want to be on vacation with!!!

Notifier: food was disgusting and PUTRID? So you did not eat for a week? Putrid? Really? The food was rotting and moldy with magets...I find that very hard to believe.

They paid for their week on the ship the same as you did, didn't they? If you want specific type of people on your cruise then my suggestion is to go ahead and charter a ship for yourself and your friends.... Otherwise you have to deal with all kind of people because they live in this world that we all share. Sorry.

My husband and I had the exact same experience and I was on same ship same week. This was my 6th cruise but my first and last with RC. I also felt food was utterly disgusting and putrid on the ship. I was highly disappointed at the entire cruise as well!!!
