Review summary

I have been on several cruises including royal carribean and it seems royal carribean is trying to save money now or trying to be greedy. The entertainment was low cost and the food in windjammer and main dining(isaac) was cheap. It all use to be very great and something you would tell family and friends but not anymore.believe it or not, i found carnival last year to be a whole lot better.

we were highly disappointed with our freedom experience. our steward was fantastic but the rest of the staff was disinterested. the food in main dining room was OK but staff was also not overly friendly. disembarking was absolutely miserable without any staff even explaining why there was a delay nor attempting to keep folks in order. rc has a good reputation but it is clear they are slipping.

I was on the Freedom last fall. The food was OK but it was so slow and embarkation and debarkation was horrible at best. $ hours to get on and 4-5 to get off. We would be content if we can get on and off the ship in a decent time.

Prissanna08 it too was our first cruise on enchantment. We loved it so much we're booking another cruise and we're sticking with Royal. I was reading on cruise lines and multiple ones say Royal is #2 cruise line with of course Disney being #1. I always look at it this way, someone somewhere will always have something bad to say about something or someone

It may be that I had never been on a cruise before, but I found everything on Freedom to be of high class. The food was amazing, the ship was beautiful and the staff was most helpful. It's all about perception.

I sure am hoping the quality is awesome when I go. They are saving so much more money in GAS now then last year when I booked my cruise. One can only hope that happens.

it can't be any worse than the food on Carnival Ecstacy

Really? My husband and I just got back from a cruise on RC and had zero complaints. We thought the food was excellent, the ship was very clean and maintained and the staff were all very wonderful

Wow.. I was looking forward to that part of my cruise. It has been several years since we have been on a Royal Caribbean cruise. But maybe by then it will be better. One can always hope so!

I agree with you 100%. my husband and I are long time cruisers with RCI. it was a couple of years ago that I noticed the downturn in their food quality and most notably their service. the ships just aren't maintained as well either. the only thing I can attribute all of it to is cost cutting. they are buying lower quality food. not spending the money on ship maintenance and a lack of training for their employees.

How unfortunate that this cruise didn't meet your expectations.  I'm afraid all the cruise lines are cutting back.
