Cruising in April

Sail Date: April 12, 2015

The staff aboard the Freedom of the Seas were just great.   Everyone went out of there way to make us feel welcome.   From the initial dining experience on the first night until the day we departed, everyone we came into contact with was pleasant and friendly.   The activities about the ship were great; having the cruise director and other on TV to share what would be happening was a plus.   Getting the daily flyer really helped us plan our time each day.

I had to work while on the cruise and the Internet was operational 95% of the time.  Paying for the Internet for the entire cruise was a plus too.

If anything, I would have liked to have gotten more information on gratuities and beverage packages before the cruise.    This way I could have paid more of my fees up front.

Overall a great experience

Ship Quality
Facilities were great on the ship.
Food and Dining
Both the formal dining, the Windjammer restaurant, and the 5th floor coffee shop were great stops on this trip.
Service and Staff
IT Department Jamie Taylor and Arturo Jimenez Jr., Senior Guest Services Officer. Outstanding customer service
Onboard Activities
Wanted to see more shows during the evening. The only show was the Ice show
Destinations and Excursions
Cozumel was not a great time as the tour was so set up and was not worth the money we paid.
Cabin / Stateroom
Very comfortable stateroom.
Port Canaveral, Florida
Wasn't crazy about the price of parking!
Labadee (Cruiseline Private Island)
The village was a bit overboard with vendors being very pushy. The rest of the island was great.
Falmouth, Jamaica
Enjoyed our tour of the island and would recommend Biggs restaurant instead of Margiritaville.
George Town, Grand Cayman
Enjoyed the tour and the shopping
Cozumel, Mexico
Enjoyed the shopping near the dock. Would not take a tour again. Would recommend renting a jeep or scooter to see the island and get around.
