Review summary
We picked this cruise because of all the amenities for our grandson. Cabin attendant was great and responsive to our needs. the My Time Dining was slightly confusing because they continually asked us to make reservations days in advance. We never had a bad experience in dining. The choice of food was not as selective as other cruise lines. There was only a two course menu. We often order two from the first selections. Roperto really took care of our grandson with extra food.
We felt that the excursion talks were very poor. Almost no extensive information about the countries and the excursions. No real understanding of where you were going and all the excursions were not discussed at the meetings.
Shopping guide Ian was great and had several extra informational meetings. It was a change that the Windjammer was closed between 3 and 5. Enjoyed the coffee and pastries on deck five.
Very comfortable cruise. The new terminal one in Port Canaveral is great and the staff was excellent for embarkation and disembarkation.
Freedom of the Seas is a great ship and you never feel like there are over 4,000 people on board. The shows were beyond excellent. Singers, dancers, and costumes were outstanding. Ice show was unbelievable. Acrobatic couples were most enjoyable.

Ship tip
Examine the ship upon going on board. deck 3 has sections only accessible from aft or stairs from 5 through the casino. Smoke is heavy in casino and pictures are next to casino. We did not enjoy looking at pictures because of the smell of smoke. The Promenade was a great place to walk through.
