excellant ship

After 13 cruises (two in Europe) I thought there could be no surprises when it came to cruising...I was wrong! The Explorer of the Seas is the BEST ship I have been on, The way the ship was built ,with the promenade down the middle of the ship. like main street at Disneyworld makes this ship both unique and easy to navigate. We loved the coffee shop on the promenade and it was a gathering place for our party-- we knew we could always find someone there enjoying the cookies, coffee or sandwiches. (The oatmeal raisin cookies were actually addicting!) The entertainment was great, I would rate it with Vegas-- there was one night that the singer/impersonator was as good as Danny Gantz , who has his own theatre at the Mirage and we paid alot of money to see him when we were in Vegas-- the singer on the ship was just as good if not better! We LOVED it! Also props to Allan he was the funniest cruise director on any ship I have ever been on-- He could be a professional comedian-- he is that funny!

it was a beautiful ship, the staff was great, was not impressed with the food menu at the dinners, and the cabins were alot smaller than previous cruises i have been on

Immediately after boarding the tender for a tour in Belize, I experience a bright, continual flash of light in my right eye. My husband and I immediately went back on board ship and were escorted to the medical facility within two minutes. The physician examined my eye and told me that I should see a specialist. Arrangements were made while we were put aboard the tender. We were met on shore and taken to an opthamologist who diagnosed the problem as a torn retina. He repaired the tear with a laser and we returned to the ship. The total time from the onset of the problem until we were back on board the Explorer of the Seas enjoying lunch was less than three hours! The service and assistance provided by everyone involved was nothing short of outstanding.

Best ship we've been on.

the ship itself was great, but the weather wasn't favorable. I know that is a chance we take going at the time of year we did, but the boat rocked horribly. a good majority of our group felt seasick at some time. The amenities on the boat were great though, and the staff was amazing. the food was great and the service was impeccable.

Royal Carribean was wonderful. The Explorer staff was super! The ship is in need of refurbishing, but is a super layout and arrangement. The entertainment was good. There was a very good feeling on this cruise, thanks to a warm and caring staff. The art shows were great, and Gavin Foster was super with art education and sales! Would do it again!

THIS WAS OUR SECOND SAILING ON THE EXPLORER OF THE SEA, AGAIN AN WONDERFUL CRUISE. THE STAFF AND SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT, HOPE TO CRUISE IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

I love the royal caribean cruise line. I am found of the explorer of the sea because the staff is great and the boat is excellent.

The ship was so large and there was so much to do that I never got bored. I especially liked the variety of places to eat, drink and dance. The champagne bar became my favorite place to hangout and I met many great people there. I enjoyed all the shows and found them to be very professionally presented and not too cheesey, as I feared they would be. I had a great time dancing the nights away, the music was good although the DJ seemed a bit off on some nights. I really enjoyed the ports-of-call excursions, I only wish that there would have been an overnight stop in Puerto Rico so I could have checked out the nightlife. Overall, for my first cruise it was a great experience and I'm definitely looking forward to the next one

I THOUGHT THE SHIP WAS VERY CLEAN AND PRETTY. EVERYTHING WAS WELL ORGANIZED. PLENTY OF OPPORTUNITY TO EAT ANY TIME NO NEED TO RUSH TO MAKE A CUTOFF TIME. I LOVED THE ACTIVITIES SUCH AS VOLLEYBALL TOURNEY, ROCK CLIMBING, SKATING, BBALL GAME. LOTS TO DO.

The ship was elegant and well-taken care of.

The ship had modern decoration, was impeccable in appearance and cleanliness, room size was decent (for a cabin). It has multiple activities for the young and some for the old too.

THE OVER ALL EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT. THE ONE AND ONLY BAD PART OF THE EXCURSION WAS THE LACK OF KNOWLEDGE BY INFORMATION PEOPLE. EX: NO ONE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT THE PROCEDURE WAS FOR GETTING PASSPORTS STAMPED. EVERBODY HAD DIFFERENT INFO. ALSO MY TICKETS WERE SENT TO THE WRONG CABIN. A PASSENGER FROM ANOTHER PART OF THE SHIP HAND DELIVERED THEM. THERE WERE OTHER THINGS, BUT I STILL LIKED THE CRUISE . THE SHIP ITSELF WAS GREAT!!!!

This was our second cruise and I was alittle disappointed with the overall experience of this cruise. Last year we were on the Grandeur of the sea and had a great time. I think it was a more relaxed atmosphere and the staff were a lot friendler. The staff on this ship, althought never rude, seemed to rushed trying to keep up with a much larger amount of passengers. I think our next cruise we will stay with the smaller ships.

THE SHIP AND STAFF WERE EXCEPTIONAL, FROM THE MOMENT I DROVE INTO THE PORT TO THE MOMENT I LEFT THE PORT. MY TRAVELLING COMPANION HAD RECENT KNEE SURGERY AND THUS WAS ON CRUCTHES, WHEN WE ARRIVED SHE WAS IMMEDIATELY PLACE IN A WHEELCHAIR AND ASSISTED THROUGH THE ENTIRE BOARDING PROCESS. ON SHIP ALL STAFF WERE ATTENTIVE AND CONCERNED AS TO HER WELL BEING. IN ADDITION TO THE CRUISE AND THE STAFF, I MET THE MOST FRIENDLY PEOPLE ON THIS SHIP.

The ship was large. There was a lot of public space, but the cabins were very small.

Very nice ship, always a lot to do. The food was very good and we never had the slightest chance to go hungry! Also there were plenty of options for different food choices as well...buffet or sit down, snack or full meal, casual or formal. The staff was excellent overall; everyone we encountered was very nice and friendly. Though this was our first cruise, my husband didn't think the experience could have been better!
