I am a veteran cruiser of 13 cruises. R.C. has good people working for them, but Explorer needs massive upgrading. When asking about broken things on the ship we were told, we report them and put in the work orders, but it's the follow through that is lacking.
Embarkation

We paid for transportation from and too Ravenna from Marco Polo airport. Our transport never arrived. We called they said it would be there at 140pm even though we arrived at 11am, we waited, no transport arrived. Ruined our whole day, had to book buses to trains etc didn't arrive until 10pm! Once we boarded the ship they refunded us, seems the travel agency booked the transport to and from bologna airport when our plane tickets were for

The food and drinks were acceptable, Except when we ordered coffee in the main dining room they kept bringing cold coffee and i don't mean iced. The staff in the buffet were great always offering to help carry your drinks to your table. Our main dining staff were very nice and sang happy birthday to me.
Onboard Activities

all hot tub jets not working, hot tubs luke warm. Steamroom door broken and doesn't close all the way.
Entertainment

The ice show was fantastic. The comedy show was ok. Other venues were mediocre.
Service and Staff

Waiters and staff in buffet were friendly and besides the cold coffee problem in main dining room, was satisfactory. Rose is the best masseuse I ever had! Our room steward gave us one towel animal the whole cruise and it was my birthday cruise so was disappointed in that, plus he gave us dirty pillow cases with someone's lip stick all over it. Cesar Infante, guest service officer, helped us get refunded for the transfers that were screwed up by our travel agent.
Ship Quality

Explorer is an older ship, needs upgrading. mold in the sauna, none of the jets in any hot tubs worked and they were luke warm not hot. It is however a very pretty ship. We managed to have a good time.
Cabin / Stateroom

room was nice sized, beds were comfortable. Cleanliness could have been better.
We did the excursion to dograti caves and melisani lake was nice, but the whole excurion was the bus ride to get there, about 20 minutes in the cave and a 15 minute boat ride in the lake. The guide on the bus was very knowlegable however the bus driver seemed a bit angry.
