Review summary

The prettiest part of the trip was Victoria, BC.  Juneau and Skagway were great as well.  The ship was very good and clean.  They were always cleaning everything and telling us to use sanitizer. This made me feel better.

The cabin attendant was great. He went out of his way to make us happy.

Ship tip

I have sailed on The Radiance, The Freedom, and The Explorer and they are all wonderful. Royal Caribbean is the best don't want to travel any other.

So excited to do this cruise next year! Been on a royal cruise to alaska, many years ago. Want to experience it with our kids

Ok thanks. I heard that the valet service was on hold but I'm hoping it's up and running when I cruise in August.

Arewethereyet no we picked it up on the pier and took it with us to the airport. I was afraid my bag was too heavy and wanted to check it in myself in case I had to readjust some things into my carry on.

Miller77901 Did you use the valet service to have your luggage taken directly to the airport?

You had to wait an hour for another bus to come by. We did have some rough seas when we were cruising after seeing the glacier. Wasn't that bad. Getting off the ship wasn't that bad. We did sign up to have our luggage carried off for us. All in all a pretty good cruise. Sights were beautiful.

Our luggage didn't take too long to arrive at our cabin. We were on the 9th deck and had the best room steward. Our friends 2 doors down had a different room steward that was horrible. The food was bland whether we ate in the dining room or the Windjammer. We did eat at Johnny Rockets and our burgers were great. The hop on hop off bus in Victoria was disappointing.

Was on the ship when it sailed 5/27. Boarding the ship was a bit trying on the patience. First they staged the taxis because the pier was full. When we finally got to the pier, there was a long line at security and then another line at the cruise check in point. Finally got onboard after about 2 hours at the terminal. We arrived at the port about 11:30. We ate at the Windjammer which was ok.

Yes, all I am hearing is negative comments about soda machines, bland food, not enough food choices in the WindJammer, and long lines. I leave in a week and hope I didn't pay for over priced Sizzler.

why do you think you had a great experience and many people are complaining about the food and crowds?

Did you get any rough seas? Looking forward to the same trip in August.

Glad you liked Victoria, it is one of the prettiest cities on the entire west coast
