This was our 20th cruise on a variety of ships and cruise lines. HAL and Celebrity are our favorites. We didn't have one problem to correct and even the accounting was flawless! The industry has changed over the years, and I'm sure the cruising public has as well. It's hard not to miss some of the things we enjoyed about cruising years ago..., the midnight buffet, lobster, steak and prime rib offered at no up-charge, overall dressing for evenings and many little things..., but one must change with the times and still be competitive in today's market. Holland America appeals to us for the smaller ships and overall ambience and quality. This was a very pleasant, relaxing and enjoyable cruise!

Jaka and Bonadventura were excellent! Very attentive and quickly learned our preferences. We prefer late fixed seating and had a great table. Food quality was very good.

Service and Staff

We had a Neptune suite, #8162. Dena and Rosa were very attentive and did a great job taking care of us. They were both very personable and pleasant.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
We prefer the smaller ships. Eurodam, while maybe due for a bit of sprucing up, is very pleasant and lovely. We never had to fight crowds and felt quite comfortable. The Neptune suite at the stern was most enjoyable, especially the wrap-around verandah.
Cabin / Stateroom

We thoroughly enjoyed this suite. The port stern is definately the perfect location and the wrap-around verandah is wonderful! The interior layout is excellent, and the bathroom with the whirlpool tub/shower and separate shower is very nice. The separate dressing room is also a plus. Since we had another couple in our party in 8164, we didn't take advantage of all the suite perks, but still felt very pampered.
Ship tip
The stern verandah staterooms and suites are to be desired.
The new straw market has lost some of it's quaintness; now pretty much pre-made China junk. The carvers were good and at least authentic. Took a taxi to the Atlantis, intending to do the "Dig", but found it's now only sold as a day pass combination access for $195! Nassau has really expanded and dressed up the port shopping area.
