Review summary

The ship, crew, services and entertainment were exemplary! Holland America makes every effort to ensure you are comfortable, well fed, entertained, informed and ready to get the most out of your selected shore excursions. They are extremely well organized and very little time is wasted waiting for information or instructions. This was a premium experience at a very reasonable price.

Food and Dining

The food is very good. We enjoyed dining at all of the restaurants. The Canelletto was my favorite. The Tamarind is a great Asian dining experience and well kept secret that we highly recommend.

Entertainment

The entertainment was fantastic! We had musicals, ballroom dancing champions, a mind reader, comedian, violinist and a German evening in addition to the wonderful performance by the crew. Excellent variety and quality of performances.

Service and Staff

The staff on board this ship was the best we have ever experienced! They always looked out for you to ensure that you were enjoying your cruise and the rooms were cleaned three times per day!

As you walk through the ship you will notice that there are crew members cleaning, polishing, smiling and greeting you! The ship sparkles.

Cabin / Stateroom

Great stateroom with a nice verandah. It was a bit small; but, we managed just fine.

Ports of call

Tallinn, Estonia

We loved the old town and had a wonderful meal at "The Peppersack." It is a wonderful medieval city. We also saw Pirita.

Tivoli Gardens was a disappointment and we took an afternoon excursion and wasted the morning. Otherwise Copenhagen was a beautiful city.

We took an all day excursion to Berlin and Potsdam by river cruise. Potsdam is a beautiful area and was one of the highlights of this port for us!

This was my favorite port. Helsinki is a great town with friendly people and an upscale feel. We enjoyed dining at a local cafe and walking around the city.

Unfortunately I took ill and did not see much of this port; but, my wife enjoyed it and she took lots of great pictures.

Nynashamn (Stockholm), Sweden

We did a roof top walk and viewed Stockholm's sights from a unique perspective. It was great fun and our guide was fantastice. We enjoyed lunch by the Nobel Prize Museum.
