First Cruise, No Blues! by tmsmith23

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was a first cruise for me.  I can see why people go on multiple cruises.  The staff was very friendly.  Royal even provided the big fight on the screen.  I only have a few complaints.  I was of the understanding that only one side of the ship was smoking.  However smokers were everywhere and I think that should have been addressed.  And when a hot tub is being drained to be cleaned when it is done it should be inspected quickly and reopened.  Many times there was more than one out of order.  Also heating them a little more would have been great.  They were just warm tubs.

A RIP OFF!!! by donnagathye

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was my first cruise and my last with cruises only!!! I was deceived by thinking I was speaking with someone from Royal Carribean, very deceiving wordage on web site making you think that the only beverages that you would be paying for is acholic beverages, then they snag you when you have to purchase a package in order to het soda and water. I wound up having to speak with six different people to get the port of call location changed because the first person I spoke with said there wasn't an opening on the departure date that was closest to me. I was charged insurance without me knowing I was charged and I was told I believe it was the third or fourth person that said it was credited back to my account then I find out it's not. It has just been credited. Now I'm still waiting to speak to a supervisor because in the beginning I was told that I would be credited a certain amount of what I had spent on board the ship. Just writing this gets me upset at this experience. I will say that the private island Coco Cay was the only enjoyment of the whole cruise. The food was nothing to write home about either. I highly recommend that anyone that books a first time cruise with cruises only.com DO YOUR HOMEWORK and go directly through the cruise line!!

Very dated Ship and staff rude by dbaugh34

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The ship it self was very dated and the rooms smelled of must and bathrooms smelled of urine. The beds very uncomfortable as well. The boat does not offer a lot to do so everyone just drinks all day. Although the private is amazing for a relaxing day with beautiful water.  The food was good but the service was hit or miss some of the crew were extremely rude and others very pleasant. For the cost I suppose you get what you pay for as compared to other cruise lines such as Disney it's crap but compared to Carnival it's a little better.

Disappointing because of weather by caitlinwood1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The weather was so awful that all excursions were cancelled and we were not able to dock at foreign ports. We had planned an exciting vacation full of snorkeling, swimming, live music, and beaches, but unfortunately, not of that happened. The cruise director did try to add additional activities for passengers since we were all stuck indoors for the majority of the trip due to either wind or rain or both. But, the main activities really didn't start until evening, which left the majority of the day to sit bored. It was frustrating after waiting for months for this vacation, to know that we could have enjoyed a better vacation off of the boat. Although weather is not Royal Caribbean's fault, we wished they would have tried harder to either give some sort of raincheck discount for a future vacation, or at least keep their guests entertained while on this trip.

Maybe next time by aleane

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I have been on a lot of cruise before, this was me first Royal I have been cruises since "92".  Maybe I shouldn't have chosen a older boat to be the first. The boat was nice, people was friendly, and the food was good, but I was not wow, and the weather was bad so for our safety we missed CoCo Cay, was a little disappointed but thank for keeping me safe.

will do this again by goofymumma

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was a very nice cruise. I took this cruise right after another vacation. I found it still had the appeal of a 7 day cruise. It was short enough but long enough to feel like a vacation. I will absolutely do this one again. Good times.

So relaxing! by kpittman2910

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

My husband and I went on this cruise for our honeymoon. It was also both of ours first time on a cruise.  We both work 40+ hours a week and have been working around the clock on our wedding. This cruise gave us just what we needed, relaxation! We had an amazing concierge Sebastian. He greeted us with a smile everyday and made sure we felt special. The food was pretty good as well. We only had two down sides to our trip. The first was no way controllable, it rained at least a few hours everyday on our trip. We still had a blast. The other was that we waited till the last day to play bingo, when we did finally make it to play we sat there for a hour before being told it was canceled because of technical difficulties. All-In-All, it was a great trip!!!

eh; not bad, not exciting; just ok by arispia

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

we had a nice time; all of the crew, guest relation people and servers were really professional, energetic, and nice.  However, there were times Bingo didn't work; or something would be printed on the itinerary and it was a mistake.  The ship seemed older and worn.  And the entire time we didn't feel like we could totally relax because people were always trying to get you to buy things like make reservations at the restaurant that was not included, so very expensive and extra money to eat at; or like when we used the spa services the people were nice but were just pushing the products they sell the whole time- the private island was ok but awkward to find your way around and the free food there was not good; it felt like a day at a summer camp for adults-  it was nice that we were docked so long in Nassau; you had an entire day and evening to roam around.  The medical staff had odd hours so if i felt sea sick i would just have to go to guest relations and while they were all very nice there were never enough of them to help the line of people.  oh if you go on this cruise btw don't get coffee at the windjammer cafe; get it in the main dining room- whew-

April 20 2015 departure. by CY100

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Liked the ship, for it's age it is in good shape. Enjoyed the my time dining. Food was average, not much out late night. On Carnival and Norwegian late night buffets every night. Our wait staff was excellent. My wife was ill one night and didn't go to dinner. They were very concerned and seeing her 2 nights later they remembered her and made her feel really well. We had an internet problem(my wife teaches on line) and guest services really tried helping her and kept checking. They even sent us a bottle of champagne with an oops we're sorry card. Our room steward was very good and always smiling. Rest of the crew didn't look happy. Bar service was very slow. The public bathrooms never seemed to be clean. On Norwegian they are very good. Private island of CocoCay makes this to take.

Nice Getaway by ladyofthe60s

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Despite the inclement weather this time of year and having our offshore excursion cancelled, the getaway was nice.  Stayed on-board for the most part but enjoyed the massive pool deck with the 4 hot tubs - more than I have seen on any other ship.  The food was quite tasty and the windjammer restaurant had more than your heart could desire.  Overall a pleasant experience.

Good cruise for your buck by monizjacqueline

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was my 2nd cruise on a Royal Caribbean cruise line and my boyfriends first and needless to say we both want to return. The food was delicious and the waiters were wonderful. The drink package is definitely a good bang for your buck whether you're drinking alcohol and soda or just soda. This was a smaller ship then my first one but still plenty of fun options to partake in or just lax with. My biggest issue was trying to explain something to a customer service agent on board who clearly didn't understand much English and trying to figure out our shower and how to make it a decent temperature. Overall, great time and cannot wait to return to a Royal boat!! Bing Bong (Marc - cruise director- says all the time)!!

Fun in the sun! by Erok

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I am blessed to have great friends that had the chance to enjoy the time spent on Royal Caribbean, Enchantment of the seas. We celebrated two bachelors and had a total of 8 going. The overall experience was fantastic and our room attendant couldn't be any better. Manny was our man, he serviced us with a great attitude, took care of what we needed, and always started a short conversation on how were enjoying our time thus far. Our room # was 2579. We had the early dinner at 5:45 at Our Fair Lady and sat at table 408. The food was delicious but the attitude of one of our servers leaned towards a little racist. The first dinner he made a comment to my friend, which he is African american, that he had to go back and change in order to eat. He wore exactly the same attire on what we had on. The second night was even worse, the same thing but gave all of us the feel of neglect that none of us should be in there. In thinking for the third night, he realized what he has said and the actions he has took and tried to make it up to us with more food and drinks. The damage was already engraved, leading to the conclusion to never sit at table 408.
