Enchantment of a deal by kagibson

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We greatly enjoyed our trip through Royal Caribbean. My fiancee is a Gold Member and loves this cruise line. I have traveled through Carnival in the past, and felt like it was very comparable if not better. I loved the service we received throughout the cruise. We had great attendants, and the activities and ports were great. We really enjoyed Coco Cay the best just because we love beaches, and it was so beautiful. I wanted to see Nassau and Atlantis, but felt underwhelmed since it rained and it was very touristy. We couldn't do much in Atlantis since we didn't buy a day pass. Our room was very clean, and the dinner was fabulous. We dined at Chops Grille and loved it! We purchased the alcohol drink package and felt like since we don't drink alcohol a lot we would not do it again since we didn't get our money's worth. Overall, we enjoyed our cruise and want to go back again.

First Time Cruise - Gr8 Experience! by easicomputers

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was our first cruise and found Royal Caribbean service is hands down FOUR STAR. The staff are EXTREMELY GOOD at their jobs showing respect, kindness and a willingness to serve at every turn. Notably, from the moment we arrived, our stateroom attendant was ever-present and available to even our smallest requests and managed to slip in and out of our cabin so often, our room was always tidy and clean.

DINING: On the 3rd evening, we dined at MY FAIR LADY and it was a white glove experience. Our waiter Eduardo even made the choice of appetizer, entree and wine an easy one to make. The downside was while the menu had vegetarian options, they were very limited.

I must admit that dining in the Windjammer Buffet was overall a more convenient experience and the selection of food items were more diverse. The hours that are kept are extremely flexible and allowed us to eat almost at our leisure between all our activities and naps. The wait staff there were incredibly attentive as they carefully navigate amongst the throngs of passengers like a well-choreographed dance.

Latte-tudes on Deck 6 offers up Starbucks beverages and sweets and is opened extended hours. The coffee at the Windjammer was sub-par, so this was a nice alternative and the beverages here were also included in our unlimited beverage package. The only downside here were the blenders that were broke on almost every visit we made to get a Frappucino (apparently from the over-use and popularity.)

The Park Café on Deck 9 is a GREAT alternative and perfect for a late night pizza snack especially after a late night of drinking. During daylight hours they offer a salad bar which was remarkably simple, but a healthy delicious and convenient alternative.

Notably, the Bartenders have a a difficult job of keeping passengers lubricated and appeased and I am sure there are some  passengers who are more demanding than others. By and large, kudos to all mixologists!

Ports of Call: I must admit that I found Coco-cay far exceeded my expectations, partly due to the weather that was mostly raining in Nassau. I've been to Nassau before and was still glad to shop and visit Atlantis. We did not opt for any excursions but were told that if we go to Atlantis after 5, we could get in for free, only to be turned away after catching a cab over there. We realized that this is a loosely enforced policy and managed to go through the hotel lobby (not the casino), and was able to access the gorgeous grounds and see the aquarium which was well worth the walk.

Coco-Cay was (surprisingly) gorgeous and personifies the tropical island experience. We did not even board the tender till noon where we quickly settled in and got in the water for some overdue swimming and snorkeling. There is really nothing very interesting by way of a reef to see, but there are some artificial ruins that have been placed for the snorkelers.

I was not aware of the amenities available on the Cay and it was unclear as we debarked the tender as to where I could use my C Pass or where I must use cash. I would advise bringing some cash with you just in case.

In fact, by the time we got out of the water at 2:30 there was seemingly no food options available to us that we could find. Again, this was not a big deal knowing we would soon be back on the Enchantment to dine. We also failed to realize we must bring our towel(s) with us and ended up doing without towels on the Cay; no biggie.

The maintenance department probably does not get much recognition but I have to give props for a very rapid response from engineering when our safe refused to open. A maintenance man was at our door within mere moments of calling guest services. Nice work!

Production staff, cast & crew; What can I say? The show(s) are the cherry on the cake. The Orpheum Theater is gorgeous and inviting and there's just not a bad seat in the house. The singers and dancers work very well together and really put on 2 great shows but Stage to Screen to me is definitely the standout production with its full live orchestra, amazing costumes, choreography, lighting and sets. The live jazz sets on the Centrum are a great way to get to know the singers better and again, the musicians are really some of their unsung heroes who make all the magic possible. We also played BINGO in the Orpheum which was worth the chance to win some cash and a free cruise for two, albeit luck was not on our side for this game.

I cannot emphasize enough the quality of the staff and only regret that I did not take note of the names deserved of being mentioned.  I am quite certain that if it weren't for the synchronous teamwork at hand from stem to stern, our trip would not have been the same.

We chose the Enchantment to celebrate my birthday (also notably acknowledged by RC staff with Birthday Cards in the stateroom) as well our 15th anniversary which was an unforgettable experience for both of us. We were unsure whether a 4 night cruise would be enough time, but it was a perfect reprieve and while we were completely satisfied, we were also happy to be headed home after 4 nights aboard ship.

Royal Caribbean delivered a SAFE and FUN journey that allowed us to make and enjoy memories that will last a lifetime. The cruise director did a GREAT JOB as did the entire staff on the Enchantment! We will definitely sail Royally again in the future.

First Cruise by conedclass

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Stateroom was kept very clean during our cruise by staff. Towel animals left in the room everyday. Entertainment was very good. Done shipping on the island was not what was expected. Especially shopping for jewelry. Evening dinners were fantastic and the servers went out of their way to make sure the food was to our liking. Onboard shopping can get crowded. Overall the cruise was very good.

Left hand got stun by a bee before set off. Swelling during the whole journey. Was able to get good treatment in the medical center and the price was reasonable. Most waiters and waitress and bartenders are very nice, bringing me ice for my hand.

Food was good, entertainment was good. Nassau and Cococay were great

Best time Ever on Enchantment of the Seas by beautyfrompain1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We enjoy our time on this Ship. Every thing was wonderful from the staff to the Entertainment. The food was just marvelous. The Ship itself was beautiful.

Our overall experience was unforgettable. We have done travel on land before but this is an all in one go to. Housekeeping that is honest and friendly- Staff on board that is helpful, nice and very helpful- The only thing we thought could use help is the entertainment( Music) seems a lot out dated and the newest music played was about 3 years ago. Other then that. I have no complaints. the Cruise compass keeps you involved and busy.. but not too busy, you're not obligated to join if you don't want to.

We are definitely going to advise friends and family to take a cruise. So much to enjoy for great prices!

Great trip by angelaaddison

Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We had a wonderful time.  The entertainment was okay.  The cruise director was not very funny.  I found him to be rude at times.  The food was good.  Enjoyed the islands and beverage package well worth it.  Also, if you can carry your own bags off the ship at the end of your trip.  It will save you hours.  Didn't know this till we got there.  Royal Caribbean allows one bottle of wine per person as long as you carry it on in your carry on bags.   Remember room services are free.  You should tip the person delivering to your room.  My time dining is great.  Who wants to eat at 5:30 or 8:00?  I need to have some flex time.  Also, good to re-book for your next cruise.  Best price and we got 100.00 for signing up on the cruise we were on and 100.00 credit to our next cruise.

Enchantment of Seas, 3 day cruise by ceiberger44

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Enjoyed the cruise to the Bahamas, it was great.  We did a tour around the city and old fort, and went to Atlantis, The only con was wish went spent at least an hour at the Atlantis instead of 45 minutes.  The ships island was very nice and had plenty of seating on beach and in the shade on the benches.

The room on the ship was nice and roomy except for the bathroom, which is to be expected, The food was good in the dining room and the Windjammer Buffet.  I thought the staff was very helpful with info and assisting my friend who had a walker, and several times needed assistance, even boarding and leaving the ship.  No complaints and would recommend the cruise again, who wanted a short 3 day cruise.

Fun Weekend Getaway by gt0523a

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

To be honest, I wasn't expecting much -- but, if I'm honest, I was blown away.

Pros: Friendly staff, great drink packages (one includes Starbucks), great food/variety, nice amenities aboard the ship, pretty good shows/acts, if you gave them a chance...fun organized events (look, I rolled my eyes at the idea of karaoke, but we had some time to kill... and it was HILARIOUS to watch).

Cons: Our room was showing a little wear-and-tear, uncomfortable bed (but I am super-picky), hard to find plain ol' water (they moved to freestyle machines, but there was no plain water option).

This was not a non-stop party ship. Guests ran the gambit -- I saw families with children, bachelorette parties and seniors. All were having fun (at least on this cruise, no screaming kids at the pool).

The day I dreaded most -- CoCo Cay -- I actually enjoyed the most. For a relaxing experience, I highly recommend getting a cabana-ette, It's like you're on a private beach.

Overall I we had a great time. I would highly recommend this cruise to someone who wants a quick, tropical getaway.

I had a blast by michealtippetts

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

SO this was my honeymoon trip. My second cruise with Royal, my wife's first cruise, and trip to the ocean period. I was a little put down about the hardness of the beds, the pillows sucked even worse. The dining was decent, I would get done eating dinner, and then go on up to the windjammer. I never seemed to be able to make it to the windjammer on time for the night snack which made my nights long.

The water was beautiful, the boat was beautiful, the service was superb. At the dining hall Viiktoria and Luana were our servers and they did an excellent job.

The last day there my wife fell ill, and Christopher the gentleman that cleaned our room helped out lots.

I was bummed that I didn't get a Lobster dinner, and many activities seemed too expensive for my taste.

despite the things that kinda irked me I still had a good time, and I'd go again.

Tired ship and inexperienced restuarant staff by a3jheal

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The going aboard experience was good and the cabin a good size and clean however ther was no coffee table on which to place dinks or snacke when having a snack or a drink in front of the TV.

The morning service in the main restuarant was very slow and obviously under staffed, eggs would go colld while waiting for a server to come to the table and ive your plate a squirtof Ketchup !!!.

The buffect lunch however was good witth a good choice of dishes however the pastries were the smallest I have ever seen.

There was lots of music from verious groups but far to loud and ther was no where you good go in the evening for a quiet relaxing drink as a result.

The shows, only was worth going to and not the one where we had a juggler for 45 minutes only.

The cruise exoerience was not up to the standard we had previously received on 4 cruises with Carnival maybe now thet to have cut down.

Best Time We Had In A Long Time by jaylott3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was my wife's first cruise ever.  This is a woman who is afraid to swim or get in any body of water other than a tub.  She enjoyed herself immensely and was amazed by the service provided by the Royal Caribbean crew/staff.  She was enamored by the Cruise Director (BingBong Marc) and how he kept everything so lively.  The dining was great, even though I was not crazy about the buffet and wild attitude for breakfast.  It was a wonderful inaugural cruise and we have already booked the next one.  For first time cruisers the 4-night is a good place to get your feet wet!LoveBig Smile

Loved the experience,  great crew, fun destination,  loved the enchantment of the seas.  This ship was just the right size, not too large.  The only part we did not enjoy was one night we ordered the lobster and surf and turf which costs almost 80$.  The lobster was tough and not very good.  the other food we received was exceptional.  Lots of really good entertainment on board

Royal Caribbean is the way to go. by bjechard

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The staff was very attentive in all aspects of our trip. From the chef to the entertainers everyone on our trip continued to ask us if we were enjoying ourselves and if there was anything they could do to make the trip more enjoyable. The food was excellent. I had a blast at the shows and different on-board activities. Our room was always well maintained. I couldn't have asked for more from my trip.
