Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Key west was great but it was the shortest stop on the cruise more time there would have been great.  Nassau was ok but very unorganised we wasted 2 hrs of our time there because of bad info from the ship.  The biggest problem i had on the whole trip was booking the plane tickets it was a nightmare took hours and multiple phone calls I was surprised it was so difficult since i booked the cruise through AA. It seems the airline is not sympathetic to the issue of getting on the cruise on time.

Better than we anticipated by Surrett

Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Since neither of us had ever been on a cruise we were not exactly sure what to expect. Our stateroom was in the middle of level 4, which meant no windows or port holes to look out. Actually it was great because it was quiet in that part of the ship at night and the rooms without any view of the outside are less expensive. The crew was always friendly and helpful, and our rooms were cleaned or straightened up twice a day. The food was fabulous, and the variety was such that we were able to enjoy a different flavor each meal. We don't drink and we did not even purchase a soft drink package, but there was plenty of water, iced tea, lemonade, coffee or juice each meal at the buffet. We did not quite understand the "My Time" dining right away and missed out on the formal dinner in the "My Fair Lady" dining room, but enjoyed two dinners there after that. (Both the buffet in "The Windjammer" and the dinner in "My Fair Lady" are included in the cruise fare.) The excursion to Blue Lagoon Island was great because we had the opportunity to relax on a relatively uncrowded beach. We also took the excursion to go snorkeling while on Coco Cay Island (Royal Caribbean's private island) which was a great experience. The tropical fish and coral colors there were not quite the same as I experienced in Hawaii but beautiful, nonetheless. The crew of the excursion boat was very friendly and helpful. The only frustrating part of the cruise was the immigration process when returning to the U.S. in Key West, and then when disembarking in Miami. It  felt a bit unorganized, but getting that many people through customs in a short amount of time is always a challenge. Some more clear instructions or explanation of the process could have been helpful. (Figuring out where the lines were supposed to start or end, and exactly when our group was supposed to go was a bit confusing.) The daily cruise instruction sheets the crew left in our stateroom each evening explaining the next day's activities were very helpful. As far as what RC could to do make it better?   Perhaps turn up the temp in the hot tubs a degree or two, and turn down the temp of the ice cream machine a degree or two...hardly major problems, but when your ice cream falls off the cone because it is melting when it comes out of the machine, it makes it difficult to carry it to your spouse who is anxiously waiting for a cool treat! (My wife would say the AC in the ship was generally too cold, but she would probably say that about most venues.) We weren't looking for a million things to do, but there were more activities on the ship available than we could have completed if we tried--something for everyone.

Enchantment by OGYC

Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was the only cruise where I had to ask for shampoo and conditioner and a robe.  My travel companion forgot toothpaste and he never found anywhere to buy.

The menu was not impressive.  The food was salty and not particularly good quality.

Main shows were not great.

Service was outstanding everywhere!  Wonderful cruise director's made the week fun.

I hate being without Internet for a week, but too expensive to purchase Internet time.

Download reading material before cruise to lighten your luggage.

Great getaway by ozzie1951

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We were looking for a short getaway before the holidays.  This four night cruise was just right.  The ports of call were Nassau,  CocoCay, Key West.  We arrived early morning at Nassau and did not leave until midnight.  It was way too long for Nassau.  CocoCay was a great beach stop.  Key West was fantastic but departure from the ship was very disorganized and there was a lack of ship personnel to direct you to the appropriate places for departure.  It was 11:00 am when we finally got off.  All the Diamonds and above along with those going on tours were allowed to exit first.  The rest of us had to wait forever.  There were a lot of folks cutting in line and leaving with the tour groups even though they did not have a tour.  Could have been better administered by ship personnel..The ship left at 5:30 pm.  Not enough time for Key West.  Would rather have less time in Nassau and more time at Key West.  Dining room food was good but the wait times were terrible.  We averaged over 90 minutes just for dinner.  It appears the wait staff have too many folks to serve thus increasing the wait time.  I know RCCL probably keeps employees at minimum to save money but personnel service has been sacrificed.  Would take this cruise again.

Great Cruise! by kenbrussel

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Had a blast on the cruise!  The boat seemed to have some niceties that others may not have, but did seem like it was aging and required some attention.  The food tasted great, and service was (as always) impeccable!

Shows were very entertaining... loved the comedian and quick games in the Centrum.  The art auction was a new experience for me... and was rather surprised at the starting prices on many pieces (at least $8k).  I didn't bid on anything.

Made some new friends at both the breakfast and dinner tables.

Looking forward to my next Royal Caribbean cruise!!

I would most definitely recommend this cruise to anyone looking for a quick enjoyable getaway.  Food and service was very good.  Ports were enjoyable.  Only negative, and we might be showing our age :), was the dress code for the dining room.  While the dress code was only "recommended",  I think it should be more strict.  Did not appreciate shorts and baseball caps at dinner, even on "formal" night.

Management should read my message about Enchantment of the Seas by szuchruise2015

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I was disappointed to have smokers on both sides of my balcony making it almost impossible to sit out on the balcony - your internet service was bad - two i/t people gave me two different set ups.  Did not like the hamburgers - we called it mystery meat.  BUT THE PRICE OF TWO DRINKS AT $30 WAS RIDICULOUS AND CAUSED US TO NOT DRINK - YOU COULD HAVE MADE MORE MONEY IF YOU LOWERED THE PRICE OF DRINKS A BIT.  NOT ENOUGH BAR TENDERS DURING THE TIME WE WERE GETTING READY TO DEPART.  YOUR EXCURSION PEOPLE WERE BOTH RUDE AND UNINFORMED CAUSING US TO NOT BOOK AT ALL AND DOING IT ON OUR OWN.  ONE PHOTO $20 CAUSED US NOT TO BUY - YOU ENDED UP THROWING AWAY OUR PICTURES RATHER THAN MAKE THEM MORE AFFORDABLE - YOU WOULD HAVE MADE "SOME" MONEY - NOT YOU GOT NOTHING.  WE COULDN'T UNDERSTAND YOUR PA SYSTEM SPEAKERS NOR MANY MANY MANY WORKERS ON BOARD.  ENGLISH SPEAKING WORKERS WOULD BE NICE ON A SHIP LEAVING FROM THE US.  YOUR SHOWS WERE VERY GOOD.

THIS BOTHERS ME  THIS IS THE SECOND SURVEY YOU SEND ME.

Great short get-away by ladytiger81

Best meal was Chops - highly recommend;  wide range of onboard activities

Length of time in port at Nassau was long if you've been there before;  prices for shopping not very competitive there.

Dead Ship At Sea by macon760

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

My favorite part to this cruise was that it offer audience participation in there shows/games.  Other then that I was very disappointed  to have not make the stop at Coco Bay Island , due to my husband & I had  7 small children for our granddaughter birthday celebration  & we were looking forward in doing a beach front excursion . That reason being waves was to high to docket port. That being  very understandable for not stopping .But I feel like this is not the first time & surely  won't be the last...I think management should have extra activities/food/shows, etc  available for times like this., to me it was just a dead ship at sea!

Good by hmaples14

Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Our dining experience was very nice. The head and assistant waiter were very friendly (table #18, 8:30pm dining time). I was disappointed that we did not have duck, lamb,  lobster tail or key lime pie on the menu. Staff did no great us upon entry of the dining room. Staff in both the dining room and Windjammer did not make guest wash there hands upon entry. Other ships make sure guest wash there hands which I appreciate it.

Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I was hesitant because this was a smaller boat and we had just come off the NCL Escape, but to my surprise it was a great cruise .The staff was very nice the food was good and it wasn't overcrowded. I would definitely take this cruise again when looking for a shorter vacation.

I really enjoyed my self on the cruise but the beds were horrible.    The food and dining service was great! Overall, I may be hesitate to book this ship again until they get some cabin upgrades.

Wonderful and relaxing experience by fendo502

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

What I enjoyed the most is the freedom to shape your vacation experience during the cruise.  You can choose to spend most of your day exporing on land, go shopping,do an excursion like parasailing or snorkeling,  or just stay on the ship and enjoy their sumptuous buffet and other onboard activities (I went to the fitness center on several days and also tried rock-climbing and the bouncy jump zone).  There is always music and activities at night time but they are never intrusive If you want to just chill in the cabin (ours was literally right next to the main promenade and we could easily enjoy quiet time with the cabin door closed).  Everything has been designed for convenience and to maximize a positive experience.  Would love to do this again.

Three day cruise by dojntimmy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

My favorite part of the cruise was friendliness of the wait and cabin staff. They were very professional and ready to please.  The only problem I had on the cruise was on the last day I was told that I did not register my credit card, so I gave Guest Services my cc info AGAIN...I was subsequently double charged for the expenses incurred while on board, resulting in my not having enough money to pay for my checked luggage and having to spend the night at the airport and be rebooked for another flight home the next day.

It was ok.... by sli1107

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I will never go on a 3 day cruise again.  Our overall experience was that it was mediocre.  The bed was ridiculously hard and we ended up contacting the front desk for additional padding (which only helped a small amount).  It was so hard that we actually looked to see if it was the box springs only and was missing the actual mattress.

The food (including the buffet, the dinner, the late night snack venue) was ALL mediocre, at best!  The ship was definitely older and it was noticeable.

The only reason that I gave the rating 3 stars was because the entertainment was pretty great.  If it hadn't been for that, I would have given this cruise a 1 or 2 rating.

1st cruise - Enchantment of the Seas by Cruiser85725928

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We really enjoyed our 1st cruise.  Not many complaints.  Our cabin steward was awesome, and most all of the staff on the ship were great.

I'd say the process for signing for each drink is a bit of a pain, especially on the beverage package.  The music was a bit loud on the pool deck, but that's because I'm old (57), ha!

Yes, I would recommend this cruise to others!
