Review summary

Overall we were disappointed. The food, the service and general lack of attention of the staff is not what it was. I will also say, there used to be people from all countries around the world. This ship seemed to have many staff from about 3 countries, and the rest of the countries were not really represented. I feel like this is a “training” ship, and it shows.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
The food had really gone downhill. We had cold meals, steaks that were raw, many of us had sent things back. Sometimes we got them back, sometimes we didn’t. One steak I sent back that was raw came back as thin as jerkey and as dry as shoe leather. It is safe to say, the only good meal we had was the night we went to Chops.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Pools were nice but filled with kids. If you wanted no kids, you had to not want sun either and go to the Solarium.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Entertainment was pretty good. 70’s night was the best.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Waiters couldn’t apologize enough for the kitchen. Room steward was amazing but only does rooms once a day now. If you wanted to shower twice a day you had to chase them down for towels.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Common areas were clean and well maintained. Area where shops were are tucked away and not conducive to many people.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Comfort was fine, about what was expected. Size was small, hard to get around the bed. Cabin was clean but old.

Ship tip

Go with lower expectations. Don’t expect anything to be as great as it was 10 years ago. Also, we picked this ship to avoid all the kids. There weren’t as many as the big ships, but still a lot! Doesn’t anyone go to school anymore?!?!?

Disembarkation

Grabbing an elevator was difficult, but the process was good.

You can use a towel for another shower? Do you change them twice a day at home?
