Review summary

This was my first cruise ever i was really excited initially but spent alot of time at guest services as well as dealing with a few extremely rude guests who made a simply thing like eating breakfast and getting into hot tub such a difficult experience that i had to walk away without assistance from staff. I may never go on another cruise again and if i do its not going to be for a long time and i will have to have other people with me i wont feel comfortable going alone again

Bar and restaurant services were geared more towards the groups vs solo travelers i was overlooked alot even after making it clear i wasnt waiting on someone else to arrive

Bingo sold out really quickly each day. Hot tubs were difficult to get into though there were 4 seperate hot tubs. Being polite and asking a group "do you mind if i join you all" and being met with "no" more than once was disheartening and the signage stating every 30mins folks should share the hot tub, and pool chairs was not enforced or even gentle reminder to guest to be polite since we all paid for the services

Singles events were scheduled during my dinner so i always showed up too early or too late to meet other guests

I wouldn't recommend going alone because the services are more for couples and groups

I enjoy cruising solo. I meet fellow cruisers in the Main Dining Room at Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. I enjoy playing trivia so I approach people and ask if I can join them. Love the Enchantment.

So sorry your cruise experience wasn't as expected. Don't let that sway you from traveling again even as a solo cruiser. I had my first solo cruise last year on Enchantment and loved it. I'm going to be optimistic for you and predict you're next adventure will be the time of your life. Happy sailing

Spring Break is not a good time to cruise. The best times to cruise the Caribbean is when children and College students are in school. I say try one more time in lets say January or February. Also, try the My Time Dining and pick a time each evening that will work for you and the way you want to spend your evening.

Tip: In the future try the anytime dining or request to change your dining time. In order to plan around activities/shows.

Sorry you had such a disheartening first experience. Please don’t let other deter you from sailing again as each cruise and cruise line brings different experiences and different types of passengers…especially the time of year. I am curious, maybe I’m wrong if someone says “no” we don’t mind you joining us that means HOP IN. If they say yes we mind that means sorry go elsewhere.

Dont let this cruise discourage you. We were on the same cruise. We have had great experiences on other Royal ships, but this one was definitely a little less spectacular.
