We had a wonderful cruise. We will go again because we like leaving out of Baltimore which is 30 minutes drive from home.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Excellent, there was no wait time we sailed on through to the ship.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Good, the dining room food was the best. We did not try specialty restaurants.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We did a lot of walking on the ship up and down stairs from one end of the ship to the other visiting shops and we played trivia games.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We really enjoyed the ships stage shows. They had a comedian, The Lionel Ritchie Experience which was my favorite and the ship performers. Also we enjoyed the entertainment in other areas on the ship. Well done!
Children's Programs
We did not have children with us.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Head Waiter - Aneesh; Asst. Waiter - Avraj; and Asst. Waiter - Daniel were excellent. They worked well together even though they were short handed. The food was delicious and was served elegantly in a timely manner. Staff was always polite. Room Steward - Reynaldo was very polite and did a wonderful job of helping us keep our room neat by making the beds and keeping us supplied with towels when needed. I don't think he could be any better. I was very pleased with all of the service on the ship.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
I had no problem with the layout on the ship or design. The common areas were clean and well-maintained. When guest left an area untidy there was someone cleaning up not long after.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
The cabin was clean when we arrived. The cabin was bigger than the cabins without the balcony. The beds were comfortable. The room needed some renovation so some parts that had been cleaned did not look clean because of age. The bathroom was old. The sofa had stains on it. We know the staff have to work with what they have. We know also that they have many rooms to clean. We know what is reasonable to expect. Not complaining just explaining.
Ship tip
Enchantment of the Seas and is a nice ship that is not too big or too small. The staff is excellent and very polite. The entertainment is very good and if it is your first cruise start on this one. I also think the food is good on this ship.
This was my first trip to Charleston, I did not care for Charleston, South Carolina. When we got of ship they just told us to walk to the street and wait for a bus. There was no sign to tell us where to stand and who exactly was picking us up. The bus that came seem like it was the same transportation the locals use. We and others rode the round trip there was no one telling us the stops/streets, etc. The good thing about it we did not have to pay.
I have been to Port Canaveral, Florida and do not like this port. I got off the ship and taxi's were charging $20.00 to take you to a place where I heard others say it was not worth it. I know there are tours but I was not interested. Also I heard taxi's were charging $20.00 and taking people to Coco Cay and the ship was taking us there the next day. Is that right?
We like Coco Cay. We did not do an excursion this time. We went to Coco Cay enjoyed the sun, ate the picnic prepared and conversed. We also spoke to some of the staff. We had a good time.
