I have taken the New England/Boston two previous times but on a different ship with RC. Both trips were wonderful. However, this trip stands in a league of its own. Will never go out on the Enchantment of the Sea - it should be named Disenchantment of the Sea. Never heard or saw the Captain once. One crew member said he had been on the ship for 4 months and has never seen the Captain. Success starts at the top and this ship lacks good leadership.

Ship Quality
3 out of 5
I don't believe that the time allotted from one cruise ending to another beginning is sufficient to properly clean the ship. Our state room upon our arrival had "sand" something gritty on the duvet. Shower curtain in the bath was either dirty or badly stained at the bottom. Sometimes there as an overall "musty" smell.
Cabin / Stateroom
2 out of 5
One of the smallest inside cabins - didn't know that upon booking as no one explained. However, no couch as we have always had in an interior cabin. RC had a good style arm chair pushed in the area in front of the closet permitting the closet door to be open or any access to the storage drawers inside the closet. We had them remove the chair.
Ship tip
Be sure to ask for Charles, Remedios, and Uragil in the main dining room. Dinner will always be a pleasure with these three .
Town was beautiful - prettiest fall foliage. However, excursions by RC poorly planned. We had a 5 1/2 hour excursion that did not include lunch so one of our two actual stops was Kennebunkport but we only had 1 1/2 hours there. The stop was 2 o'clock everyone was starved so all we had time for was grabbing some lunch. (Every eatery had a waiting list and/or long lines.). We never visited the first shop or bought the first thing. Very disappointing.
Border Patrol had to come on the ship before we were allowed to leave. This was the most unorganized event ever. Lines were miles long and people (most of which were elderly) had a difficult time waiting for this length of time. Many did not make it off the ship until 1:00 or later and we had to be back on the ship by 4:30. Poor planning. There were many we talked with that just had to stay on the ship.
Tender process was slow and unorganized. However it was a Beautiful town - lots of shops in walking distance. Excursion was interesting but all good things come to an end and this happened as we tried to head back to the ship. The line to get on a tender boat was one hour and fifteen minutes. RC used 3 tender boats we were told and the port had one that was used. From the time we got in the line to get on the ship until we were on the ship was almost 2 hours. Again a lack of planning on RC part.
We were on this same cruise. There was entertainment every night and we thought it was great. Actually we thought the entertainment was better than the last two cruises with RCL this year.
