Review summary

While I had a time getting back on the ship, I had another very nice cruise. Also, I heard they got hit with snow while I was gone and was happy I missed it. I'll definitely be doing more January cruises to get away from the cold. The ports were fine with this being my first time to Freeport. I didn't do many tours on this cruise because I've been to these ports before barring Freeport. I've been to Nassau 7 or 8 times. The ship is a very good ship and will be sorry it's leaving Baltimore next year. I would recommend this cruise to folks.

Embarkation

This was the second of back to back cruises. Before I left ship, I got my new Seapass and a slip that was supposed to make it super easy to get back on the ship. It wasn't. Barring getting in line to check in at the check in counter, I had to go through all the rigamarole a second time!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
On this cruise like the first one, the Windjammer Cafe was closed for dinner which I found really annoying. I really like eating at the Windjammer Cafe because it's easier and you can get in and out quicker vice the main dining room.

Service and Staff

I found the staff to be particularly good and very hardworking. They were also grateful to us since it enabled them to have a job albeit a hard one.

Cabin / Stateroom

I had your typical inner cabin which was fine for 1 person. My cabin steward did a great job of keeping it clean.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

5 out of 5
In my case, sailing out of Baltimore is super easy. I live within an hour of the terminal. I do like all the hassles I avoid sailing out of here.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

I didn't leave the cruise ship terminal area as I would've had to take a taxi to get into Freeport. It was 4 and half miles away. I did check out the shops in the area and chatting with the folks that ran them. They've been going through some very hard times.

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
I had a great time visiting with friends here.

Charleston, South Carolina

5 out of 5
We had some freakish weather the day we made port here i.e. freezing rain which delayed my tour. Also, my tour of Fort Sumter got canceled again.

Nassau, Bahamas

I enjoyed visiting the Pirate Republic Brewery here. It's very close to the cruise ship terminal and makes some fine brew.
