Overall, we had a good time.
We wanted a space to relax, read, tan, and eat good food - and we got most of that.
If you go on a cruise for the added entertainment and good energy, I'm not sure this is your cruise. The boat is older and a little outdated. The buffet has too much fluff and too little quality.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Galveston process was quick and simple. We were noon boarders, and much fewer people in the cue.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The main dining room for dinner was fabulous, although the desserts weren't as amazing as the food. The buffet at breakfast was pretty good, but at lunch was lacking - not in variety, but in overall quality. Even so, a serious hunt would help you find the one or two items that were very good and worth going back for.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
The ship seemed a little dead, compared to Carnival and Disney. No water slides or attractions. The rock climbing wall was always closed. But, this was fine, as we wanted rest and quiet.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We only went to the one headliner show, an Elton John impersonator. He was outstanding.
Children's Programs

Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Our specific servers were amazing, but some of the general workers seemed to lack full zeal for their job.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Many of the handrails on the deck of the boat were rough and needed glossing.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Staterooms were very small and outdated. Beds were very, very hard.
No fridge.
The ocean view window was large, but very streaked and dirty.
Ship tip
Bring a foam bed topper! Leave the kids at home for this boat and cruise.
