Got the Maya Temple. Nothing was said it was another 1hr boat ride to the other side of the island and than another 2hr ride there. Spent an 1hr there and was promised some time to shop. 6 and 1/2 hours traveling and no time to actually enjoy the excursion. Waist of time and money.

Sorry you didn't enjoy your vacation. I think that cruising can work but find a travel agent who specializes in cruises and more importantly one who has knows about the line you are considering. It does not have to cost you anything to work with one (they are paid by cruise line) and they will save you time, money and frustration. When you find one, tell them about this disappointing cruise experience. They will also find excursions to suit you. Based on everything said, I wouldn't have chosen Enchantment in the first place. I personally made the same mistake, taking Enchantment based on the price/convenience instead of my expectations. It was my first RC cruise but the cruise itself was good enough and I found the ships that would meet my requirements. Try a Carnival Vista class, a NCL Breakaway class, a RC Oasis class or a Disney cruise for the experience of a modern cruise ship. Do not take a Carnival Fantasy class or another RC Vision class, Sovereign class ship or Empress. (Personally I like Sovereign class but I will not sail on Empress, Vision or Fantasy class ship.) I know I am long winded but a cruise vacation is among the best ones out there and if I had given up after Sensation and Enchantment, I would not have realized it. If there are any concerns, ask your stateroom attendant they all want to make sure you have a great vacation. As far as the Key is concerned, all these buying upgrade schemes like the key and faster to the fun are questionable until one is experienced with a cruise line and knows what they trying to avoid.

Sorry you didn't have a good cruise. I do have to disagree with you on The Key though. My daughter and I had a 10 minute embarkation, lunch at Chops, select seating at all shows, select times for all on board activites, fantastic breakfast in the MDR on debarkation day and were off the ship through customs with bags delivered to us curbside in 8 minutes. Well worth it to us!!!!

I agree with JT1962, anyone who complains about almost everything on a ship shouldn’t be cruising. Cruising is the best vacation ever!
