Review summary

I have been on close to 10 cruises and this was by far the oldest ship. I would recommend a 7 day or longer cruise on a newer ship. I would also recommend getting a cabin more mid ship. We were at the very front of the ship and it was a long walk to the back of the ship for dining etc.

Embarkation

There were long standing lines even though there was plenty of seating, it was roped off from use. It would seem that a better process could be implemented...maybe being given a number and then waiting till your number was called.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Overall the food in the dining room was good but the buffets could have had a better selection.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The pool was good

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We really enjoyed the Tropical Beats, a south American salsa band. They were great musicians and singers.

Children's Programs

No children

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
All staff were friendly and helpful at all times, especially the dining room staff including waiters and matre ds.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
The ship was very clean but sometimes there was a smell in certain areas and it was especially smoky smelling in the casino which we had to walk thru to get to dinner.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
The room was tiny as expected but the mattress was old and uncomfortable. The bath room had broken shelves and was beat up from use. The cabin steward did keep the room spotlessly clean.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

We took a bus trip and very much enjoyed it. We saw alot of the bahamas, we stopped frequently and the bus driver was extremely knowledgeable.

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

This was good. There was a bbq lunch on the beach that was very nice

Key West, Florida

Disembarkation

This process went easier than expected. We were parked in the terminal and took our bags ourselves which made it quick.
