Review summary

Due to the fact that it was not our first cruise we had other cruises to compare to. Not sure if I would book with Royal Caribbean again, not a fan of the carry your cup around the ship to get a drink of soda club. Would rather have just a wrist band or card to show what you have paid for in regards to the beverage package. Also not a fan of standing in line to get bottled water or a towel to use.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
We were there early and the lines moved along quickly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The main dining room seemed to be always crowded with cruisers waiting for people to leave to get a table. Food was generally the same each night only viewed one night where they claimed a particular type of food.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Not a lot of onboard activites. They had a ping pong table, a shuffle board table and a rock climbing wall.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
see above.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was extremely friendly.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
walking through the common areas you would see dirty glasses or bottles waiting to be picked up. Apparently because people didn't see anyplace to return their glasses or beer bottles they would just leave them wherever they were. The deck in the pool area which also lead to the Windjammer dining area was extremely slippery as it was always wet, making it difficult to walk through to the dining area unless you were wearing sneakers or rubber sole shoes.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
It was supposed to be a junior suite but I honestly do not see any difference between our suite and a regular balcony room. We did have a tub instead of just a shower so that may have been the difference? We did have a couch, but it was very old and dated and not comfortable to even sit on. The balcony had two chairs and a small table no lounger as shown in the picture. We also had a pole at the end of our bed?

Ship tip

We were very surprised to see that smoking was allowed in the casino and on the ships decks. Not sure if smoking was supposed to be permitted on the decks but if not there was no one enforcing it. So if you do not like to be around people smoking do not book this cruise.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas Did not visit port

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

3 out of 5
The island was average, price to rent a umbrella was $25 felt that was a little high. Beach mat was $15 so your free excursion to their private island could run up a bill quickly.

Key West, Florida Did not visit port

due to hurricane this port was changed

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
That was very quick, and seemed to be very organized.
