Review summary

Along our journey at different ports, we talked to other people on bigger ships. They all said there are lines on their ships to do things. This was not the case on Empress of the Seas. It was a very personable, relaxing experience.

Finis Henderson was outstanding. Shows were just the right length so you can enjoy more than 1 a night.

Loved that they all came from 53 countries. Got the feel everyone truly enjoyed their jobs.

Very clean. Well spaced out. We thought the ship was not at capacity when it actually was.

We had a junior suite. It was perfect for my husband and I. We loved having a balcony.

Ship tip

Don't plan on doing much swimming. The pool is tiny.

Key West, Florida

Ride the trolley to get history/overview. We also rode jet skis. My husband loved that.

The terminal shops all had the same cheap stuff. The shopkeepers were very vocal trying to get you in. We did the Kohunlich Mayan ruins. Definitely worth the drive (we were on a tour). Less crowded than the more popular ruins. Tour guides excellent and got us back on time.

The city was kind of sad. We did the zipline/ cave tubing tour. A must do! Amazing. The tour operators very cognizant of time and getting us back in time. All very friendly.

LOVED Cozumel. We did the atv/ cenote swim tour. Very clean and friendly city. Felt very safe. The cruise terminal was excellent in it's variety of goods and restaurants.
