Book the Crown EARLY if you wish to eat there. Try the Salty Dog. Check menus before going to the dining room for dinner. If going to Alaska, book the balcony!

Take time to explore the whole ship. We thought that we had done that and yet we found a new bar on our last day. We took the dogsled excursion via helicopter to mendenhall glaciers. It was awesome.

Plan your days so that you get to do everything you want to on the ship. You can use the Princess app and add activities. Also, make sure you list enough bags if you do Port Valet because it's not easy to change and you may get charged for extra luggage.

Watch your reservation and your charges. They’re not cooperative with changes, they don’t call back, and they will only fix mischarges if you really push for it and you follow up. They don’t follow up.

If you choose an inside room and run on the hot side, you will be hot. I wish I would have gotten a port hole or balcony in the end. Guest Services line was huge almost the entire cruise. Go early and take care of your stuff. Wait on Spa Services because they will give you a voucher later and it will save you money.
