Ships staff and crew were very friendly and helpful. I've always found this true of Princess cruises.

This was the fifth time on the Emerald Princess. We still love it! Open seating was great, but our 7:30 seating time didn't allow us much time for shows, but it didn't matter. Our head waiter (Godwin) was fantastic!

Third time on the TRANS-ATLANTIC CROSSING OF THE EMERALD PRINCESS, loved every moment, we had a very smooth, beautiful crossing ..............the ATLANTIC was just behaving AT IT'S BEST.

The Emerald Princess was beautiful look like it was a new ship well it was only 4 years old amazing the staff great the food Omg you eat and you might think near the end of your cruise the food or service might slack off but it gets better and better every day even the last day

I did the most dancing on this cruise than on past cruises, because they had a band just for ballroom dancing. The shows were spectacular & the food better than expected. Everything was great. The complimentary wine & strawberries were from World Travel Hostsa nice surprise! Thanks a lot.

We have been on many different cruise lines and ships. The Emerald Princess was a very easy ship to get around on. It has a great Lido deck with three pools at that level plus a nice food selection. Overall, the ship is decorated in good taste. The staff was friendly and the stateroom was clean. The embarkment and disembarkment went very smoothly. The only negatives for us were the very tiny shower and the Princess Theater seats were tight and too close together. Other wise we would recommentd this ship.

The emerald princess was good but we both felt that the ruby princess was better overall.

Beats the Crown Princes by a wide margin...

Great customer service and excellent food

I've been on 40+ cruises, this was my first try on Princess. The layout of the ship made it seem very very crowded. The buffet area was cut up with so many walls it was like a maze, trying to struggle between tables and walls and walls and walls to try to find your party or a table - ridiculous! The food was completely hit or miss, some things were fabulous, some should have been thrown in the rubbage bin. I think I actually lost weight on this cruise, that's a first! For the price I'd definitely recommend Celebrity over Princess.

The ship was very classy, clean and professionally run. The food was great, service even better. Both the boarding and the unboarding process were painless. We had a small Norovirus outbreak during which my daughter got sick, but the crew had been very proactive when the first reports of illness were realized, and once she got sick, a wonderful nurse came to our cabin and helped her feel better.

This is beautiful ship. Oustanding cruise director who filled the day (and night) with activities and entertainment. Food mediocre but service excellent. Production shows lacked pizazz and are too short at 35 minutes. Barty Brown an excellent entertainer in Crooners.Photographs too expensive.

Once we were onboard the service, attention to detail, and professionlism was excellent. The entire ship's crew and officers were courteous and friendly.

Princess lived up to it's reputation...great cruises

We just love everything about the "Emerald Princess" All staff was very good and helpful. The food is always delicious and many new dishes. We went to the pool daily and we found two problems: one was the chairs(the area where there is singing and games The chairs were very uncomfortable. Second, the pool area is very dangerous and slippery when wet.. During our ten days on the cruise three people slipped on the deck area from the water. It is extremely slippery there and these people were hurt and needed medical attention. The pool area should have the wooded deck like the other area where the movies are shown. I myself and my husband almost slipped. Many people were very unhappy because this is so dangerous and can happen yo anyone.

The new approach is for the ship to save money. They nickle dime you every chance. Personnel do their best, and the ship overall is good. They seem to be going in the steps of Carnival and away from the clientele who enjoy a lounge with a string group or a pianist playing easy listening.

The Emerald Princess, like all the other Princess cruise ships, is absolutely stunning. The flawless ability of all the staff to maintain the highest standard of service is outstanding. I was disappointed in the caliber of shows provided and the theater setting for these shows. The last two Princess cruises we were on had the evening shows in a lounge style setting and offered two shows an evening with alternating times allotted for the shows. This had one show in the theater with two alternate times for the show (8:15 and 10:15). The early show was already filled on most nights by 7:30 pm, with standing room only by 7:45 pm). I must admit that as much as I enjoyed this cruise, my spouse and I will probably not be taking any further cruises due to the new policy of non-smoking even on one's balcony. One of my most enjoyable moments on a cruise is to wake up in the morning and watch the sun come up while enjoying my coffee and a cigarette on the balcony. In the evening, prior to retiring, I love to sit on the balcony with a drink and a cigarette listening to the sounds of the ocean and watching the stars. I do believe that most smokers, knowing that we are in the minority, are keenly aware of the comfort of those who don't smoke and as such, try to respect their feelings. Unfortunately, it appears that non-smokers do not show the same respect for those of us who do smoke.
