The cruise for the most part was exceptional. The crew were phenomenal and really looked after everyone with thorough disinfecting of the entire ship. At no time did anyone feel sick or worried as Princess really put cleanliness and safety above everything else. Except for two very lousy excursions, the whole trip was very good and we definitely book again.
Embarkation

The unexpected extra Covid Test was a real shocker. We paid $95 each two days before and not once did anyone even look at our shot records or Covid test. They everyone again and then two days later, they did it again l
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Unlike our Alaska cruise in 2018, the buffet was very limited in selections, but the food was very good
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Pool and hot tub were exceptionally clean and lots of loungers available.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
The shows were average at best and a bit boring l
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Staff was exceptional across the board. Very polite, efficient and helpful. Couldn’t ask for a better crew.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Very clean and the staff was always wiping things down and they required everyone to wash their hands before entering the buffet.
Cabin / Stateroom

Of course the rooms are small, it very efficient and well designed. We had a window but because we were so far forward (not recommended for people who sea sick easily), the ride was rough at times.
Do not take the “Best of Puerto Vallarta! The tour consisted of our guide talking nonstop for 2 hours. She harangued on about her family, friends and hardly mentioned the port. We were taken from one side of the town to the other with a stop at a jewelry store (which did have great prices and quality jewelry), but that was about it.
We took the Huatulco by Sea and Land excursion. I thought they a great job and included free beer on the boat and lunch. The town is spectacular and the tour guides were so much better than Puerto Vallarta and were actually proud of their little city. It was a joy to visit.
We did the Walk in the Clouds excursion. It was very interesting and our guide (David) was interesting, and exceptionally informative. However, we were never in the clouds and although the tour was fascinating, there was very little fauna which was hyped in the advertisement.
The History of Gold wasn’t. It was a lousy tour of the old city of Balboa, a semi-interesting tour of a replica museum and an old Spanish Cathedral and grounds. Hardly any mention of the history of Gold.
Everything the people in Panama said about Cartegena was a total lie. The ship’s travel expert gave a great presentation on what to expect and he was dead on. Cartegena was beautiful, clean and very safe. The Hop On Hop Off tour was fantastic. We did the walking tour of the Colonial City (within the walls) and then explored the shops sightseeing on our own. The shop keepers were so nice, even though language was a problem, we worked it out. The street vendors were tenacious, but nothing like the arrogant ones on street corners in NYC. We loved it and hopefully we will return.
