Our last cruise on her was last Thanksgiving, and all was great. We'll be on her again in 25 days. I'm expecting more of the same. I'm curious, when you say the entertainers were 'poor,' are you referring to the shows and dancers? Or the people who play in the bars? Also, activities - there weren't many game shows, or trivia, or dance and other classes? On my 12 Princess cruises, there was always something going on somewhere. Sad, if that wasn't the case. We spend most of our evenings in and around the Explorer's Lounge, since there is always something happening to watch or partake in. Also....you said the food was mostly inedible? Do you mean you actually couldn't eat it? (as in spoiled and rotten) or that what they had wasn't to your tastes? Last night I went to a fine dining establishment. The clam chowder was too thick for what I like, and the crab cocktail was a bit too shredded. Also, the sauteed mushrooms were in a sauce other than how I normally have it. So, the food wasn't totally to my tastes, but it wasn't inedible. Just wondering, as I've never had food that couldn't be eaten on a ship. Sorry you were so disappointed.

I was on the Emerald last February, and while she was showing some signs of wear, we had a fantastic time. A cruise is really what you make of it. We had both good food and entertainment. To each his own, I guess.
