Review summary

a totally pleasant and exciting experience, with exception of some overprized and under-attractive land excursions

Embarkation

5 out of 5
AS SMOOTH AND EXPEDITIOUS AS IT CAN POSSIBLY BE

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
CAN'T BE BETTER

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5

Entertainment

5 out of 5
EXCELLENT, ESPECIALLY LADO STRINGS. THEY HAVE AN IMPRESSIVE REPERTOIRE AND DELIVER IT IN THE MOST TALENTED AND ENTERTAINING WAY. SAME GOES ALSO FOR THE OTHER ENTERTAINERS. HOWEVER ALL THEIR PERFORMANCES BECOME A BIT REPETITIVE DURING A 2-WEEK PERIOD ONBOARD

Children's Programs

NO KIDS IN THE FAMILY

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Most attentive, helpful and friendly, especially Dariusz the room steward, Casey the waitress in the Piazza Café, the young receptionist lady at the Da Vinci dining room entrance as well as Giovanni the host at this particular restaurant, also various staff in the Gatsby casino

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Great layout, beautiful facilities and absolutely well maintained. The walking, jogging path in the aft part of the ship could be a bit more extensive.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Wonderful small home away from home with comfortable bed and ample storage room. Another sitting piece, armchair would be nice.

Ship tip

You've picked a beautiful vessel

Ports of call

Cartagena, Spain

4 out of 5
everything within walking distance of the ship, didn't need the bus tour

Malaga, Spain Did not visit port

Because we had spent time there prior to the cruise

Casablanca, Morocco

4 out of 5
nothing special about Casablanca, except the huge Mosque but was much impressed by Rabat

Santa Cruz De Tenerife, Canary Islands

4 out of 5
didn't see much of the port / city / island. took the tour to the pyramids and the cathedral but that does not offer much of an impression of Santa Cruz or the rest of Tenerife

Ponta Delgada, Azores

5 out of 5
Lovely island, landscape and grrreat tour with wonderful guide

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida Did not visit port

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
2 hour delay before allowed to leave the " waiting lounge" of the ship, luggage not in correct numerical location, US immigration slow and outdated ( no global entry procedure)

Yes. Immigration has become much slower in the last 2 years. The Port of Los Angeles is the worst. I equate this with the change in lines at TSA for flying when they first started upping security, but I still don't understand what now takes so much longer. It seems that the process is getting longer, as even in Ft Lauderdale, we had a 2 hour delay boarding her 2 weeks ago, as they took that long to get everyone through Customs and Immigration from the previous sailing.
