Review summary

The ship itself was pretty grand and well kept. I especially enjoyed the Princess Patter and the captains summary at the very end. I snuck views of the cabins across the hall from me with windows, very nice, but there was never a shortage of chairs on the 15th deck or around the ship’s circumference to sit and admire the views. I wished I had awoken earlier to see the spectacular scenery through Tracy Arm though. I Never saw bananas on the buffet line but always asked for and received one. All buffet lines were Not created equal. One had bagels and lox and the cook made you omelettes. Wish I had realized that earlier!

Embarkation

Though I was slated to embark hours later, I showed up and began the process with no problems. Super efficient people moving!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Mixed reviews as the buffet dinners like Mexican and Indian were heavily salted, but that’s probably just the nature of those cuisines. DaVinci and Botticelli dining experiences were a few steps better,,,just as they should be! I received a free six course dinner at Share, which took two hours but great food!

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

3 out of 5
I only attended the first nights production of Magic To Do. I thought it was entertaining and professionally produced while others did not agree. The second night was an Elton John impersonatorand I thought he was spot on, right down to the way Elton shuffles when he walks!

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
By and large the staff was cheerful and helpful. Of course there were a few disgruntled workers but compared to the number of staff, I could understand.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was well designed with a large closet and shelving. The gap between the twin beds pushed together was hardly noticeable 😁

Ship tip

Buy the water bottle package, unless you bring your own reusable bottles. It’s at the very bottom of the drinks packages. For less than .60 a bottle, delivered to your room, you can’t beat it!
