Best cruise to date, love Alaska, it is breathtakingly beautiful and we had wonderful weather.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We went in thinking that we would be waiting in line, as we usually had to on previous cruises. This was so different, we literally were checked in and on the ship in 15 minutes. Princess has it down when it comes to staggering check in times, based on your room assignment. I would say the elevators were slow, but that is to be expected.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We took advantage of everything that the ship had to offer. We always make it a point to book the Chef's Table on all our cruises, and this one did not disappoint. At $95 a per person it was so worth the cost, we toured the kitchen and had a 6 course meal with 13 other guests. At the end we were given a picture and cook book, it was the best yet. We also had a champagne breakfast on our balcony during the Tracy Arm Fjord day, perfect at just $45 per couple. They had a Crab Shack night as well. The food was excellent all around.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Princess is a little older crowd and slower pace, but we did not mind the relaxation of the cruise. They did have activities, but we did not take advantage of very many.

Service and Staff

Could not have asked for a nicer crew, very cordial and efficiant. I would say some at the wine and coffee bar could have been a little nicer.

Ship tip
Get to the coffee shop early it gets crowded. Also, stay in the middle of the ship and take the stairs, the elevators are slow. You must have a balcony room while going to Alaska, views all around.
We went Whale watching and to the Salmon bake. It was a little disorganized at first and I felt like the boat was too crowded. Overall good but not great.
We did the city tour and it was okay, the ship gets in late and debarkation is ridiculous. We waited on the ship for what I don't know before the Canadian Officials would let us off.
