Review summary

The cruise was nice as far as the weather, overly warm for being in Alaska 75-80 degrees every day. I do enjoy days at sea but the last day at sea was two days, that’s too long with nothing but bingo to do on the ship.

Food and Dining

I was a little shocked that they didn’t display better what was in the food. I have a food allergy to shell fish and thankfully I didn’t have a reaction but when I was eating the rise it clearly didn’t say there was shrimp in it? I went back and looked to see and it didn’t say shrimp at all.

Dining Room

Our server and waiter Donald and Alan were very good. Always smiling and making us laugh.

Wheelhouse Bar

My daughter hung out here every night listening to the Irish playing band, she loved it. Very friendly people noticed her there and would acknowledge her which was very nice.

Casino

The Casino staff were very helpful and friendly. It was like we were lifelong friends. I was in the Casino every day and the casino host’s would go out of there way to talk to me which made me feel very comfortable.

It looks like u were on the left side w a balcony, is this true? How would you rate being on that side of the ship please

I see u spoke of the food ingredients , could you please elaborate a bit on the quality of the food. Some ppl have given poor ratings on the food quality. Ty

I suggest getting a balcony, every picture I took was from our balcony. The scenery was unbelievable. Also make sure you bring a pair of binoculars while we were sailing I was scanning the coastline and actually saw a bear which was exhilarating when it happened. Also everyone else who has a balcony is scanning the waters for whales and dolphins and when someone sees something they would yell out whale or bear then we would all see. Plus the balcony blocks a lot of the wind that you would get if you were up on deck taking pictures. If it was too cold which was barely on our cruise you could sit just inside your room and still look out at everything.

Reading, walking, wave watching, gym, cinema, afternoon tea, 'sleeping' (😉), creative writing, crochet, wildlife spotting, quoits, cards, shopping, dining, crafts, lectures. Yeah, there's literally *nothing* to do on sea days, I love them!

When we were on the Emerald Princess, sea days were spent on trivia, Zumba, movies, ring toss and other games in the Atrium, long walks around the ship, Karaoke, etc. Plenty to do if you just get out and look.

We like sea days to just relax and chill
