Review summary

This was our first cruise so everything was new for us. The sea days got pretty long and the entertainment got a little boring. Drinks are very expensive it seemed like the crew was well trained to always be selling you something. Would be nice if more movies were played inside instead of outside at night when it's windy, cold or raining.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Getting on the ship was easy enough. They explained things pretty well.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was good and lines were never long. More beverage choices would be nice.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
It was too cold to swim. The fitness center was always packed and for some reason the treadmills couldn't be used until after 8:00 am.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The entertainment was pretty cheesy. A person can only play trivia so much before it gets boring. Stage shows were always packed because there was nothing else to do that people weren't already sick of doing.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the staff everywhere on the ship were outstanding. Very friendly, very helpful and very courtious.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was great. Shower had more water pressure than most hotels I have been to. Everything was very well taken care of.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was perfect for what we needed. Plenty of room, very clean and comfortable.

Ship tip

Don't book excursions ahead of time. Book when you get to the stop.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

3 out of 5
This was our starting and stopping point.

Ketchikan, Alaska

4 out of 5
We were there during the salmon run and it was very interesting to watch the salmon try to make it upstream.

Juneau, Alaska

4 out of 5
Scenery was spectacular. We went whale watching and it was something everyone should do at least once.

Skagway, Alaska

3 out of 5
A bit of a tourist trap. We rode the train and it was a very beautiful ride.

Victoria, British Columbia Did not visit port

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Figuring out exactly how to do our luggage was a little confusing but the staff answered our questions.

I'm going on my first cruise soon too. So thanks for the review. Where did you sail to, and how long was your trip?
