Review summary

Our ship, the Emerald Princess, was a beautiful ship and very well maintained.  This will be my 6th trip on Princess over the past 20 years.  The main area of disappointment was the entertainment and lack of any interesting speakers.  The food in the main dining area was okay, however, the staff seemed to want to rush the service.  The Grill which is one of the 2 specialty restaurants was excellent.  My accompaning traveling companions, as well as myself, had a difficult time understanding serveral of the service crew members. On numerous occations while it appeared the servers were trying to do their best, it was obvious that they had not been well trained in serving or knowing much more than the basics about food details.  The afternoon tea was very disappointing in both what was being offered as well as the fact that the servers constantly reached across the tables and servered or cleared the dishes from the wrong direction almost causing several near spills.
