Review summary

Disney Cruise Line staff can not be topped.  Very enjoyable cruise through the new locks of the Panama Canal.  The Panama Canal, one of the seven modern wonders, is a testament to will power and engineering ingenuity and should not be missed by those who like to see how things work.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Excellently prepared food - using Disney's rotational dinning which keeps things fresh and interesting.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Disney shows were outstanding. Other entertainment was also first rate for the most part. John Charles - Hector the magician - Captain Pucket (informing about Panama), Ridley Peirson all should not be missed.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Our kids are grown - they were well taken care of when we they went with us. On this cruise the current crop of youngsters were also well taken care of as we hardly noticed them.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Disney Cruiseline Staff can not be topped. All of them have an excellent attitude and treat you better than family.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Just went through dry dock - except for a few minor changes it looked like the same new ship we sailed on 17 years ago (first year of the Wonder)

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Great cabin - or should I say it is no good (so it will still be available for our next time on the Wonder).

Ship tip

Don't try to do everything - relax, you are on vacation!

History was interesting and great to see - likely not get off the ship if we go back to Cartagena

Panama Canal Transit

It's the canal - modern wonder of the world - bucket list item for all engineers!

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

This place has grown in the past 30 years. Easily walk off he pier (it is a tendered port) and have safe shopping, restaurants, bars, etc. at your fingertips. Same with excursions, easy to get someone to give you a ride to a beach or Lands End.

San Diego, California
