Wonderful first cruise by mjsmall

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was our first cruise and we have now been spoiled!!!! Everything was so nice and clean and very well put together, Our only issue was that there is no listing as to what princesses are on what ships. The food is great and the service was exceptional. We will be taking more cruises.

Memorable by grandkids2018

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Pools were overcrowded and hard to enjoy for the kids. Staff was excellent and we had a very enjoyable cruise other than the crowded pools, which the kids wanted to spend all their time at. As for entertainment, it was very good. I think the Beauty and the Beast performance would have been much more enjoyable for the children if the teapot, candlestick and clock were costumes rather than people working them.

Way above my expectations!! by Colona2012

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

My idea was to go on a Disney cruise to check that off my bucket list. However, this trip just did the opposite. Now I can't wait to book other Disney cruises.

This was the WORST cruise experience I have ever experienced. by Steven81

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was the WORST cruise experience I have ever experienced. Food is bad, really, really bad. Service was not good. We had a pile of plates on our table and no one came. We paid more than 4K dollars for 3 days, my family is really disappointed with everything. Please don't spend your money here, use Royal Caribean or another cruise line. Please read below: "I have no intentions or desire to EVER try another Disney Cruise again, and I received such a sour taste in my mouth from this experience" https://www.cruisecritic.com/memberreviews/memberreview.cfm?EntryID=606042

Ship: Disney Dream

Had wonderful time on Disney Dream 4/16. The food was delicious. The shows were amazing. Castaway Cay was great! Did shore excursion resort for day in Nassau at British Colonial Hilton it was ok You do get 40credit for food and beverage. Took forever. They did give us free round of alcoholic drinks for waiting so long. Next time I will stay on boat 🚢🚢

First Time Cruise - Excellent by market3121

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We mistakenly took home the review form given to us via our room. Realizing this, we wrote and mailed a letter stating our opinions. To somewhat reiterate, the man who services our room and 3 others of our family, did an excellent job, could not have been better. The two waiters we had for our 3 dinners and one sit-down breakfast were not only excellent in serving, but very entertaining and fun. Whoever runs the ship, the tremendous organization and training of the personnel, is to be commended, it is so impressive what is accomplished for those of us luckily enough to take the cruise.

The Disney Dream was an amazing experience. We only had 3 nights on it and we left wishing we had more. Great food (and very accommodating for allergies), super fun entertainment for the whole family and wonderful itinerary. Staff was all very attentive and kind.

The Disney Dream was my... by teddyk

Sail date: /
Ship: Disney Dream

The Disney Dream was my first Disney Cruise. It was only a 3 night cruise from Port Canaveral to Nassau and Castaway Cay (Disney’s private island). I was worried that 3 nights would not be enough on this ship but it was an incredible cruise. The Disney touches make the cruise that much better. The ship is beautiful, very well kept. Disney does a great job making adult guests away from many children with a private pool and sundeck area and a whole part of the ship turns to 18+ years after 9 pm! Stateroom: Deluxe Interior Stateroom with Virtual Porthole -very spacious and well decorated -split bathroom concept (sink and shower in one, sink and toilet in the other) -virtual porthole shows real time footage outside the ship with cameras and multiple Disney characters show up on screen from time to time Entertainment: The three main shows in the Walt Disney Theater every evening were incredible. I’ve never seen shows like these on a cruise ship before. They have Beauty and the Beast on this ship that is a must see. They use technology and special effects in all the shows that are a sight to see. Dining: Disney’s rotational dining concept is different and enjoyable. Our service crew followed us to a different themed restaurant each night. No meal was a bad one. Senses Spa: We purchased access to the Rainforest in the ship’s spa. This is a room that has multiple showers with different effects and temperatures, dry/wet saunas, heated relaxation chairs that over look the ocean, and two hot tubs on a balcony. The price was only $99 for two of us to use the facility as often as we want. Definitely was worth the price! Ports: Nassau: We didn’t do much in Nassau except walk around and shop and visit Senor Frogs for lunch. We used this day as a “sea day” since we didn’t have one. Castaway Cay: Disney’s private island is very beautiful. We spent most of the day at Serenity Bay (18+ beach). A barbecue lunch is served as well for free. We did the jet ski excursion as well. This was a one hour tour on jet skis that take you all around the island and right past your ship with two stops on sand bar beaches. Really fun! I recommend this ship for everyone of all ages. I am sure younger children and teens would enjoy it even more as the spaces for them to hang out looked fun. Adults have so much to do as well without the mayhem of the main pools during the day. Overall was a fantastic trip!

Best family cruise ever! by msm1943

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I highly recommend this cruise for families and even for adults. Don't worry that the ship is overrun with kids. Find the serenity area which is ample and hang out there. Enjoy the shows and other activities.

Fabulous Cruise by jsk0527

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Would highly recommend. Both adults and children had a great time. More than enough activities, we didn’t have time to do everything you offered. Kids loved their age appropriate clubs. Food was outstanding.

Horrible experience by AAlr

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We were on Disney Dream cruise that sailed March 2/2018 to March 5/2018. On the third day 03/04 there was a wind, so they cancelled Castaway island (Disney private island) and we spent that day on the cruise. I really disappointed, the most important point to choose Disney cruise is the stop at Castaway Cay. I strongly expect that the Disney will give some form of concessions to its guests. unfortunately, they didn’t do anything, they didn’t give any indemnity or concessions. It was so sad, disappointing we are students we hardly find time and money to go this trip. we have never been on any Disney cruise before. We spent so much money on flights from Philadelphia PA to Orlando FL, we rent a car to go to Port Canaveral. That day I talked with Guest Services when we were on the cruise but they told that no concessions will make to the passengers. After we back from the cruise, I sent an email asking them for compensation, but they didn't respond until today, I never hear back from them In addition, I forgot an expensive important item on stateroom, I called them every day asking if they find it. each time they respond with the same response " Unfortunately, nothing matching the description of the item has been turned in. When the Dream returns, we will take another look and should anything matching the description turn up, we will let you know", and surprisingly they never get back to me. The first two days we were so happy and thinking to repeat the same experience with our friend and family and recommend it to them. But now, we will never ever do any Disney vacations again. And when my school's professors and classmates asked me, I dod not recommend it to them and I told them my awful experience.

I just can't say enough about this cruise line. So thoughtful and well done. Kids, no kids, young singles, old folks, families - Go Go Go. Trust me, you will have the best time and Disney will be your first choice for your next cruise. Oh yes, there will be a next cruise!!
