Review summary

The Disney Dream was my first Disney Cruise. It was only a 3 night cruise from Port Canaveral to Nassau and Castaway Cay (Disney’s private island). I was worried that 3 nights would not be enough on this ship but it was an incredible cruise. The Disney touches make the cruise that much better. The ship is beautiful, very well kept. Disney does a great job making adult guests away from many children with a private pool and sundeck area and a whole part of the ship turns to 18+ years after 9 pm! Stateroom: Deluxe Interior Stateroom with Virtual Porthole -very spacious and well decorated -split bathroom concept (sink and shower in one, sink and toilet in the other) -virtual porthole shows real time footage outside the ship with cameras and multiple Disney characters show up on screen from time to time Entertainment: The three main shows in the Walt Disney Theater every evening were incredible. I’ve never seen shows like these on a cruise ship before. They have Beauty and the Beast on this ship that is a must see. They use technology and special effects in all the shows that are a sight to see. Dining: Disney’s rotational dining concept is different and enjoyable. Our service crew followed us to a different themed restaurant each night. No meal was a bad one. Senses Spa: We purchased access to the Rainforest in the ship’s spa. This is a room that has multiple showers with different effects and temperatures, dry/wet saunas, heated relaxation chairs that over look the ocean, and two hot tubs on a balcony. The price was only $99 for two of us to use the facility as often as we want. Definitely was worth the price! Ports: Nassau: We didn’t do much in Nassau except walk around and shop and visit Senor Frogs for lunch. We used this day as a “sea day” since we didn’t have one. Castaway Cay: Disney’s private island is very beautiful. We spent most of the day at Serenity Bay (18+ beach). A barbecue lunch is served as well for free. We did the jet ski excursion as well. This was a one hour tour on jet skis that take you all around the island and right past your ship with two stops on sand bar beaches. Really fun! I recommend this ship for everyone of all ages. I am sure younger children and teens would enjoy it even more as the spaces for them to hang out looked fun. Adults have so much to do as well without the mayhem of the main pools during the day. Overall was a fantastic trip!
