This was an amazing cruise to a beautiful location on a fantastic ship

It was everything as advertised. The scenery was breathtaking and the captain rotates the ship so that everyone gets a great view.

Beautiful Ship... Awesome crew... Good food and drinks... App worked good for drinks but food never showed up... Any questions ask away!

I loved it and may definitely return. This boat was amazing in almost every way a cruise could be!

I loved every aspect of the cruise. The itinerary is why we went. Princess to me is like other cruise lines. Beautiful ship, good activities.

I enjoyed the Princess Discovery Ship as much as I did the Alaska excursions. I felt very pampered. I did get a wonderful massage and facial at Lotus Spa. Enjoyed the buffet everyday and gelato quite a bit too. My husband loved the fitness center. We enjoyed meeting new people. Highly recommend this cruise. I had foot surgery in January and debated about bringing my scooter. You will do a lot of walking. Bring a wheelchair if you need it.

Food and staff were great. Alaska is a beautiful state . Dress warm. Although we had great weather. White pass train in Skagway was a fantastic experience.

The scenery of an Alaskan Cruise is absolutely spectacular. We were blessed with sunny skies in each Alaskan port. I would not recommend Princess Cruises for this trip. Even though Princess is supposed to be an expert in the area. The quality of food was subpar and service seemed challenging for many of the crew. The bars were consistently understaffed making it tough to really enjoy the time we had on the ship. The entertainment was really quite boring and geared towards the boomer generation. Lots of trivia and bingo. Not one dancing venue on the ship. Ship was a ghost town after 9 pm.

Embarkation was a disaster - arrived from the airport at 11:30 AM, boarded at 3:30 PM. Time docked in Juneau was not coordinated well with local transportation options. Hubbard viewing was from miles away, nowhere close to what previous ships had approached the glacier. Persistent creaking and tapping noises in our inside cabin would keep light sleepers awake all night. The Medallion system needs a lot of work to be a positive element for Princess. Main Dining Room, Gigi's Pizzeria, and International Cafe food was excellent. Buffet food was good, but the service there was very spotty. Service Post-COVID is improving,, but still far from pre-COVID quality.

The food and service was fabulous as always on a Princess ship, but this one was very crowded.

Excellent. New ship. Staff was great. I need Casino agent to contact me to retrieve my $800 I’m bank on Discovery Princess. Expensive lesson learned. They don’t get to keep it. I thought because they took the money from the room account to play that they would return the balance to the room account. No instructions.

Wonderful time with family. Safe, spoiled, and endlessly entertaining. Just plan your day ahead at night with all your options included, and be flexible with your schedule to find new favorites

We just got off the Discovery Princess for the second time. It was a great trip. Embarkation was very easy. It was maybe 15 minutes from arrival to being on the boat. We found the ship to be very clean and well maintained, although it is only a year old. The staff were very friendly. Our room steward Mary Claire was awesome. She remembered our names from the first meeting. She was very attentive and did a great job. The room was a mini suite and was the nicest I have had on a cruise ship. Dining was very good as well. The main dining room is good, not excellent. The prime rib I had on the last night tasted fine but was kind of rubbery as if it had been reheated multiple times. Service was always good in the dining rooms. The buffet was good each time we went but it is a challenge to find seating during peak times. Bistró Sur La Mer was very good but not as good as the Crown Grill. The Crown Grill was fabulous as usual. We enjoyed trivia and game shows many times. The cruise director, Duvaul, is funny as was Phillip the assistant director. We did not use the kids facilities or try bingo. We did make use of the Enclave spa. It is amazing. My only complaint there is that people hoard the heated tile loungers. It is the same problem people complain about on the pool deck but is worse because there are only 12 loungers in the Enclave. Cabo was what one would expect and the only complaint there was the tender line was long to get back to the ship but it still went pretty quick. This time the app and internet worked much better than it did on the last trip on the Discovery. It is still a quirky app and the internet is slow but for my needs it was fine. My only issue with debarkation was that it occurred and we had to get off. It was an easy process but I would have preferred to stay aboard. Great trip and can’t wait for the next one.

The service and food are where we were extremely disappointed. On the first evening, we waited in line standing for over 1.5 hours to get a table even with a reservation. Not exaggerated. The hostess Frances was very nice but she had nothing to do with it except sending my dad in their 80’s having leg pains to a nearby seating area for him to take a seat after standing over one hour. They started bringing complimentary glass of wine and told us it was exactly the same issue they always have on the first evening. If it was a recurring issue well-known among the crew, they should come up with the solution but apparently they haven’t.

This was the 2nd half of our B2B cruise. This 4 day segment was 80's themed and had some excellent Tribute bands. We enjoyed DSB (for Journey) and Wanted (for Bon Jovi) Discovery Princess is a beautiful ship with a great crew! ❤️

I had the pleasure of experiencing the Princess Cruise Discovery recently, and I must say, it was an outstanding voyage. Let me share my thoughts on the wonderful crew members who made this journey exceptional. 1. **Woman with Glasses at entrance to Buffet:** This crew member went above and beyond by helping me when my daughter was taking a while in the women's bathroom. Her attentiveness and willingness to assist truly stood out. 2. **Woman from Serbia cleaning tables and getting drinks:** She was not only super nice but also incredibly helpful, especially when it came to getting drinks for the kids. Her warm demeanor added to the overall enjoyable atmosphere of the cruise. 3. **Jismon the Steward:** Jismon's attention to detail and kindness in checking on our nightly rest made our stay on the cruise exceptionally comfortable. It's the little things like this that make a big difference. 4. **Hana and Precious from Kids Club:** These two were real gems when it came to taking care of the kids. They not only provided a safe and fun environment but also knew all the kids by name. Their dedication to ensuring everyone had a great time was evident throughout the trip. 5. **Amit the photographer:** Amit's passion for photography was truly remarkable. He went to great lengths to capture the best shots with creativity, making sure our memories from the cruise will be cherished forever. It's rare to see such dedication in a photographer. 6. **Elazadio Sushi Bar and Ensenada Water area:** Despite being busy, the staff at the sushi bar and the Ensenada Water area made sure to accommodate our sushi order and provided excellent service. Their commitment to serving guests even during peak times was commendable. In summary, the Princess Cruise Discovery exceeded my expectations thanks to these exceptional crew members. Their dedication, kindness, and passion for their roles truly made this voyage memorable. I can't recommend this cruise enough, and I look forward to sailing with them again in the future.

This is a beautiful ship, lots of room to hang out and be with the family. We did get turned around a few times because a floor didn’t go threw but we figured it out. We had a horrible time getting drinks, the app would say delivered or on the way but would never show up in the casino it took an hour to get a drink, and no waiters asking anyone if they wanted to order. Bars really full. The buffet was crowded the entire time, it was horrible but the salty dog and slice pizza was not busy the times we went and was really good. The MDR was just not our cup of tea, had a hard time finding things we liked and just did not luck out with good waiters- they just seemed rude. We did try Gigi’s pizza and had about a 20 minute wait to get in. I enjoyed it, the kids said it tasted like slice pizza on the lido deck. We did see the magic show and it was amazing, enjoyed karaoke, but wished it was longer- the kids signed up to sing but they ran out of time before they got their chance. The comedian was horrible. Overall we had a wonderful trip on a beautiful ship.
