Discovery Princess is a great ship with wonderful staff. You can't go wrong.

They were all great. Food on the Discovery was the best we've had of our 3 other Princess cruises on different ships. Dining room service was fabulous. Food quality very good in all dining venues - except Crown Grill specialty restaurant. We had heard from several passengers that it wasn't good but we went anyway. It was always good in the past. But it was not good- cold food, flavorless steaks, sides that I couldn't eat, and a rude waiter. Princess did refund our cost (39.00pp.) Other than this, Food was good across the board.

Large production shows were great- but there were only 2 of them. Other shows were mediocre soloists and illusionist.

Friendliest staff we've ever experienced and we've been on many cruises. They seem happy.
Ship Quality

Gorgeous new ship- lovely staterooms. Only downside is that there are no quiet outside or inside sitting areas. Also- our only big complaint that everywhere we went it was so crowded with wall to wall people. This was a first for us compared to our other cruises.

Clean, new, beautiful, comfortable, well laid out.
Ship tip
Arrive early to embark. Have a plan fir first and ladt day. Rush immediately upon embarkation to Sanctuary if you wish to reserve it or it will be full.
Always nice. This time we visited a silver mining Colonial town called San Sebastián. Las Caleb's Beach is a must see. Walking Malecon is fun. Lots of other excursions.
