Excellent. My Mother was in a wheelchair, and they expedited the embarkment. It was amazing.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
the Buffet had the same food options every night, however, the desserts changed every night and they were AMAZING. Would have been nice to have more sugar free options. But the pastry chef was FANTASTIC. Also Napoleon from the buffet/Skagway restaurant was amazing as well. He is very professional and quick! He also went out of his way to assist us. Would've liked to see more sea food options not just fish.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The Rockopera was very entertaining, better than we thought it would be. Fortuna and Kim Kim made bingo enjoyable. The trivia was fun!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
When we first found our room we were greeted by our room steward, Veil, he was very kind and helpful. We were not able to get a handicap accessible room, so he went out of his way to assist us. Luka and Ajit from Deck17 were amazing. They went above and beyond in their service to us. Very friendly and helpful, they deserve a promotion and raise! Ashvand, (may have misspelled) from Guest Services was also extremely courteous, even though he could not assist us in our issue he went above and beyond to try.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship's layout is frustrating. The aft elevators only go down to level 6, and if you go to level 6 you can only access a restaurant. So you then have to go back up to level 7 go to midship and use those elevators there, which were always full and two were always broken. Signs letting you know which elevators go to which floor would be helpful. No sports bar for American Football, only European football (Soccer). Not enough shops onboard. There were plenty of handicap restrooms, which is great. The cleanliness was great, Luka and Ajit cleaned the chairs/tables often on Deck 17.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Little small for 3 people and a wheelchair, but we made it work. Veil was amazing with organization, and he made the little space feel bigger. The twin beds were a little small but very comfy. The pull out/couch bed was perfect size and super comfy as well. The bedding kept us warm all night. Veil deserves a raise. A big raise.

Ship tip

Look out from deck 7 Promenade deck towards the evening and see whales!

"Best of Juneau" excursion is AWFUL. Their boat broke so we were not able to see the whales, they have not reached out to us for a refund. The salmon bake was subpar, though the staff were friendly and the glacier was eh. It was cool, but not really worth seeing. There was another group that only did the whales and salmon bake, and they were able to see the whales. They also told us last minute that we were not able to see them so we could not book somewhere else.

A lot of walking to get into town.

CANADA WOOOOOOO. We did the "Orca Spirit Adventures" excursion, that was sooo fun! The staff were very knowledgeable and made the outing fun. My mother was able to see a family of 4 orca whales.

We opted for port valet where they take your luggage from your room to the airport and your flight. The luggage made it!

Glad you mostly enjoyed your Alaska cruise. However, I found your complaint on the lack of American football confusing. You cruised in early August, several weeks before the NFL starts, and well outside the USFL and XFL seasons. What were you expecting them to broadcast?

Thank you for sharing your cruising experience. A TA can also help in retaining an accessible stateroom.
